Welker would be third on the depth chart at slot receiver at this point. I see him as a shadow roster guy. It would be great to have him back if Edelman or Amendola went down at some point during the season.

I would welcome him back if he was humbled. Even Spikes has come back home. It would surely be a vet minimum deal and he could be released if he didn't work out. Though, even Amendola is probably as good as what Welker would give the team right now, and he plays KR which Welker couldn't do now with his concussion issues.

I have no bad feelings about Wess. I think he should have retired years ago though. Even at the end of his time with the Patriots, he just did not look right in the eyes sometimes. Manning is the frosting on the cake concussion wise. I don't want him back and I don't want him playing anywhere though I fear it is already far too late.

I'd love Welker in very limited role for little money, and I would love to have him retire a Patriot.

Playing with Manning has taken a heavy toll on him. He's nowhere near the player he was at the beginning of 2013. He could still be effective, though, and if it weren't for Edelman and Amendola being on the roster, I would still take him. But, at this point, he should probably just retire. The concussions took a good 3 years off of his career.
