A tip on the repeated thread problem (until it's fixed)

The problem is that it seems to take a bit of time for it to show up on the page. My advice: once you hit the "Create Thread" button, wait one minute before hitting it again. And, before you hit the button again, open up a new tab to the main page. Make sure that it hasn't appeared yet. Just give it time, and it will appear.

Once you hit Create Thread, let that page be, don't hit anything again, open a new window and do your reading, it will appear.

That's what I usually do.

When I forget, then I go back and edit thread titles to say "Dupe thread; please delete". This can be done via "Thread tools" in the upper right.

That's what I do.

When I click the button to post and I see the scrolling squares animation, I assume the post went through and I don't click the button again. The post always appears about 20 seconds later when I refresh.

I just did the same mistake tried opening new window and hit enter so It went through twice.

It's a different forum, apparently. I don't like it at all. I tried to start a new thread, but it wouldn't post. I also tried to contact one of the mods, but that function doesn't seem to be working either.

I really really really want the old style forum back. I am hoping that this is just a temporary glitch.

What I see is just the colors different with all the functions that I use still there. (Not to say there are no other changes, there are many useful things I do not use and i do not know how they've changed. Hey is that a typo caused by me or is "I" not functional? OK, I has capitals. )

It's back to more or less the way it was, HOWEVER, for some reason I am still unable to post any new threads on any of the boards.

In addition, for some strange reason, I can't sign out of the site! I thought I'd sign out and sign back in after a couple minutes and see if that did anything to help, but it seems like I'm locked into the site and unable to escape.
