Patriots 2015 Opponents Are Now Set

The problem with alot of people's thinking is they base all of these teams off of what they did this year as if they will be the same exact team next year. Some will be for sure, but not everyone. You don't know what offseason moves some of these teams will make. We don't even know if revis will still be here or how good we will be. Its impossible to say how easy or hard this schedule is, right now.

Every year when I see the schedule for the next year, it always looks scary.. but our team seems to rise to the occasion for the big games.. what concerns me are mediocre efforts against the "lesser teams", that can lead to a set back..

I will make the same prediction I make every year in this era, next years team will be good enough for 12-13 wins..

Looking at the top WRs they will face next year, Revis is a must sign. Or its 2011 defense all over again

The home schedule is much easier with two of the worst teams in the league (Jags/Titans).

The away schedule is much tougher with Denver and Houston the toughest because they play well at home. Indy is a good matchup for us, especially if we bolster the OL. Dallas for whatever reason isn't a great home team, but were undefeated on the road. Still a tough game with that OL and running game, they always win time of possession and play close games.

12-4 again? 11-5 or 10-6 if we have key injuries or our own division catches up to us, though that is unlikely, Miami and Buffalo are closest but not all that close. Still Miami in early September is a tough place to play. And we could drop another division game to Buffalo or NY... could...

on paper if nobody on our team gets hurt 16-0 is a real possibility when you are playing the afc south and the dysfunctional nfc east.

Dallas and the broncos are the only real threats.

Peyton’s Teams (2 teams)

State of the Liberty Bell (2)

And of course, our division rivals, if they’re not already included above.

2) Not only were there 5 teams worse than our 4-win rival this year, we're playing 5 games against the worst 6 next year.

So this schedule is hard from that standpoint. Only one of the 7 toughest games, the Steelers, is at home. The other six: Bills, Colts, Texans, Cowboys, Giants, and Broncos are on the road. And Miami on the road is no cakewalk either. (only easy roadie is the Jets--maybe!!)

It's a good point...I don't think the schedule itself is all that daunting--it actually looks rather ordinary for a division winners schedule--but as you said most of the difficult opponents are road games.

Compare that to the 2014 schedule; going into the season we probably would have circled these as the tough games (and we can quibble with specifics like including Buffalo, excluding Chicago, but I think this is close to consensus given the 2013 season and offseason signings):
HOME: Miami, Cincy, Chicago, Denver, Detroit
AWAY: Miami, KC, Indy, GB, SD

They went 5-0 in those home games, 2-3 on the road.

Tough road schedule next year, I still think it'll be 12-4 or 13-3 as I do every year with Brady at the helm, but the road games will be battles.
