1) No - I know there are many annoyed by this but I promise I'll be fixing that

2) I had the font changed in the test forum but didn't update it when I opened this one for real. I'll be changing it, likely over to Arial or a softer font.

3) Hadn't noticed that before, although I'm not sure if that's fixable

Thanks man! Oh and question number 3 is not a big deal it only takes a millisecond to do it manually anyway. Great work Ian, I expect it to be awesome but this was even better than expected.

The big issue I have is that the forums are too busy. Stats, jerseys, twitter feeds and the forum itself only takes up about half of the available screen screen real estate which altogether creates a claustrophobic, ADHD-inducing sensation. I guess it's a good setup for the video game generation but I wish, at the very lease, that the jerseys could be hidden and the forum had a variable width instead of being fixed. It feels very cramped and dated here compared to other forums.

Actually yes Ian, I am having an issue. I have the Patriots taking Xavier Sua-Filo at #33 with the pick they get from the Texans for Ryan Mallett and a bunch of negative nancies in this forum keep saying that will never happen. it's very upsetting, please ban them forever.


Sefarian-Jenkins at vv#29, Sua-Filo at #33 and Marcus Martin at #62 is very doable under my scenario, please instruct them to stop disagreeing with me---or else...................

It's too white, everything blends together, separate posts hardly have anything dividing them, i don't like long quotes automatically being hidden, etc.

Just a fan of the old versions forum skin a lot more than this.

They call it "Start a conversation", which is private, but you have the ability to bring people in if necessary. Took me a while and some testing to figure that out, but that basically replaced it and everyone's old private messages from the old system should have all been imported and should be in there.

BTW, I agree with all the other posters here who are commenting on that jersey thing creating so much unnecessary blank space - - that's annoying as all hell.

The pages don't load right on my work computer. The stuff to the right king of overlaps the messageboard page. When I open a thread none of the writing is visible; you have to highlight it by right clicking it.

One thing I can't get past (besides the excessive white space on short posts thanks to the jersey thing, which others have highlighted): That black type on red background for quoted posts. very hard to read. I miss being able to tell whose post is being quoted without really squinting.

Love so many things about the new site.

That's interesting because I am loving the mobile site on my iPhone. I really don't see a need for using tapatalk, if(when) it's implemented. What don't you like so far about the site on your phone?

There's a lot of good stuff, I get a kick out of all of the options to rate a post. I do worry that silly children are going to start disliking everything someone like Deus says just because he's a poster who gets a lot of attention. I don't really like the idea of negative user feedback since places like Reddit make it clear that a lot of the times people are judging a post by aspects other than the post itself. Personally I don't care if someone marks every post of mine as 'dumb' but others will and it will lead to stupid internet slap fights. Which I love. So nevermind, I like it the way it is.

I cant speak for other posters but I can speak as one of Deus' more "dogged" (inside joke) critics.

I havent Disliked a single one of his posts.

I have Liked more than a few.

Deus gets a lot of attention because he wants it. I don't think he'd have it any other way.

95% of Deus negative interactions with other posters, "silly children" or not, would go away overnight if he simply toned it down a notch or two.

There really is a lot of room to play in the range of difference between being "blunt" and being "harsh".

That said, I do think there should be more Options in between the severity of Like and Dislike/Dumb.

Maybe one of "Snarky", "Patronizing", "Harsh", "Contentious" would be good candidates.

(All of which have probably applied to me at more than one point).
