Any hope of ever upgrading to 5 or at least 4?

Just seems like the features, formatting and everything look so much better.

No, no hope of that at all. vBulletin is not long for this world here at PatsFans.com and truthfully I don't know how promising the long-term prognosis is for that company after what I've seen. It's served us well for the last decade, but you'll see a brand new board with new software in another couple of weeks. It's already installed and I've done one test import that went relatively smoothly and am just ironing out a few kinks.

Once I finish testing it and it's working correctly for our setup, I'll shut the board down overnight and do the final import. Due to the size of the database it took about 16-hours to fully import the first time on the test run I did, so when I do it for real, it will likely be down from probably 8pm ET until 11am the following day, and I'm planning on doing it on a Saturday night into a Sunday.

I'll post more information as we get closer, but that's where we stand right now.

This is great news glad to here!! :rocker:

Which developer did you decide to go with?

It's one that most of the larger sites are using and it will definitely be a nice upgrade. It's also more lightweight, which should hopefully alleviate the strain on game days as well.

Should be up and running in the not-to-distant future :)

Good deal looking forward to this
