This isn't the ARod trade that never happened where the Red Sox stole the thunder of the 2003 Patriots all the way into December. This was a must do trade that happened three weeks before the start of the regular season. By the time the Pats kick off against Tennessee, this story will be a long memory.

So Red Sox nation is celebrating tonight but come Monday the douchbags on the WEEI morning show will find some other player to complain about...eventually driving him out of town also.

Saying the Red Sox "stole thunder" from the Patriots is absurd. The Red Sox are - and shall remain - the primary topic of conversation until about the end of October. They didn't steal any thunder because the thunder has been their's all along.
