Ebert has been a slot receiver in Northwestern's offense. Like Welker at Texas Tech. Not like Deion Branch.

If I recall correctly, Deion Branch hated being the slot receiver up in Seattle.

I pointed out the measurables. Ebert is closer to Branch than Welker. In fact, there really isn't much between Ebert that is the same as Welker. Welker did Punt returns on a regular basis at Texas Tech. Ebert didn't really play on special teams. Also, Welker lined up all over the place for Tech. Not just in the slot. Welker made his niche with Miami in the slot and started there with the Pats, but he lines up all over the place now.

Again, there is no real comparison between the two.

KG? Lebron? Basketball? I will rewatch this 3rd day of the draft on DVR 20 times before watching an NBA game.

Fun draft from the Patriots. Very excited for the upcoming offseason and season.

1st round was a WTF moment in that BB did what we never expected him to do.

2nd round was a WTF moment in that BB did exactly what we have come to expect from him...only more so!

3rd round was a retun to normalcy

6th/7th round was further WTF, but I love all 3 picks. Practice squad for the WR and CB.....

AND time to get my Nate Ebner jersey!

Just watched the tape on him at youtube and I would say more like Welker.

Jeremy Ebert Part 3 - YouTube

He is #11

Didn't line up once on that video outside the numbers.

This is a great video- shows the all-22, you can see he has a great feel for the stack, great timing. Clean routes, precise breaks. Has the knack to induce missed tackles.

4:22, takes out two linemen with a single block for his QB.

Nice touch by the NFL having a **** Clark impersonator announce the final pick,

So the bottom line is the Patriots converted their low 2nd rounder into 4 players that are all very interesting: a pash rusher, a rugby super-athlete, a 2nd round CB talent facing prison time, and a 4.38 highly productive Big-10 receiver - all of whom will make the team I predict.

Classic BB draft performance.

Was that Tavon Wilson he beat for the TD in the Illinois game (second play)?

there's a youtube out there of an 81 yard td catch vs Nebraska where he leaves Dennard in the dust too.

Kellen Moore signed with Detroit. Interesting place to choose for him.

I'm beginning to really like that Ebert pick.

That is decent Welker and Edelman insurance - - in case either or both might not be here after 2012.

Put him on the Practice Squad for 2012 - - excellent planning.
