You are so naive my friend. We won't use the pick next year or when we trade it for a 2013 1st rounder or a 2014 1st rounder or a 2015 1st rounder. This is getting so darn ridiculous. Every year we have 2 1st round picks and 900 other picks and we still can't beat the Jets at anything other than collecting picks.
I know, those Jets have just owned us for years. I get so tired of counting all of their SB rings.

Strange that Rex Ryan trashes the picking of Gholston yet picks another DL with questionable work ethic.

They didn't pick Da'Quan.

Cameron Heyward to Pittsburgh.

I was never sold on Wilkerson, I'm alwyas leery of Div 2 guys.

Ironhead Jr to the Steelers.

Steelers and their rubbish o-line go DL. :D

I officially hate this years draft.... no Watkins, no Wilkerson, no Heyward?!?!?!

It seems every year we have a slew of picks, and we always seem to trade them. Hell, sooner or later, you have to make the picks. Brady isn't getting any younger, and Belichick won't be Pats coach forever. It's seems like the draft plan every year is for the future, yet that future, gets traded for the future. It's seems like every year we have 2 number one picks, but we never take them. #1 pick gets traded for a 2nd round pick this year, and a #1 pick next year. One thing is certain for next year, they will trade one of those #1 picks for a second round pick in 2012 and a #1 in 2013, shake stir and repeat. The #1 pick from 2006 turns into a #1 pick in 2017, etc.

Sometimes having multiple 2nd round picks work and you trade up for Gronkowski, sometimes it doesn't and you wind up with Butler (lose out on Clay Matthews) Why not take a chance on using both #1 picks ? It might just work and make the team better, and maybe finally help that pass rush. But now we'll never know.

we suck badly. that muhhamad guys just went before our eyes...heyward too...meh

Looks like they don't need Kris Jenkins. And Steelers get Cam Heyward.

Hate to see a guy I coveted go the the arch rivals. Hope I was completely wrong about him now and he busts big time.

Bowers
A Williams
Reed

is all I have left at 33 unless Austin can play in the 3-4.

Yeah, I don't like the back-to-back Wilkerson/Heyward picks one bit.

I am so looking forward to tomorrow morning/evening for you guys. Pick 33 is loaded like a cracked up hooker.

Pats will draft ahead of all the playoff teams in rounds 1,2, and 3 plus have 2 extra picks in the 2nd and 1 extra in the 3rd. It's all good. Double the picks plus slotting advantage. Every contender wishes they had the Patriots options.....relax

I'm sorry but I just don't get what the Pats are doing here.
