We’re at Gillette

Hey everyone … we’re here at Gillette, set to blog our way through tonight’s Pats-Jags game. Here are a few early notes.
•We’ve been pushed back to the third row of the press box–seat No. 341, for those of you interested–but it’s a good neighborhood, because I’m sitting with some of the best football writers the nation has to offer. There are TONS of national media here tonight, including plenty of folks from big out-of-town papers like the L.A. Times, Miami Herald, New York Times (as well as the Post, Daily News and Newsday), Washington Post and Yahoo Sports. There are also SIX people here from ESPN–talk about your saturation coverage.
•It’s clear and cool, but definitely not the usual January weather we’ve become accustomed to. The traffic isn’t horrible–I made it from Boston in just over an hour–but will likely be getting worse as game time gets closer. On the field, there are a few special teamers on the field getting a taste of the footing, but other than that, there’s no one on the field just yet.
•We’ll get the inactives as soon as possible. In the meantime, sit back, relax, and watch what’s turning out to be a pretty good Green Bay-Seattle game.
