On Monday, the NFL announced the three New England Patriots 2021 Pro Bowl selections, but cornerback J.C. Jackson was not one of them.

Despite trailing Xavien Howard for the league lead in interceptions, and spending time as the Patriots top cornerback in the absence of Stephon Gilmore, Jackson was completely left off the AFC team.

The Patriots number one corner, Stephon Gilmore along with Baltimore’s Marlon Humphrey and Buffalo’s Tre’Davious White were named as the AFC’s three Pro Bowl cornerbacks.

Following the announcement, a few of Jackson’s teammates tweeted out their displeasure with Jackson’s absence from the roster.

Pro Bowl aside, Jackson is still in line to earn an All-Pro award following the season, as Humphrey himself declared in response to a Darius Slay tweet also coming to the defense of Jackson.

In 14 games this season, Jackson has logged 31 tackles, eight interceptions, 13 passes deflected and three fumble recoveries.

Jackson’s eight interceptions mark the most by a Patriot since Asante Samuel recorded the same number in 2006.
