On Saturday afternoon, former linebacker Willie McGinest took a look back at the dominant defenses he was apart of during the first chapter of the Patriots dynasty in the early 2000’s.

In a posting to Instagram, McGinest shared a highlight reel of big hits and big plays by a defense that helped bring home the first three Super Bowl championships.

“SOUND UP Guess you could say playing against us was a nightmare. Happy Halloween”, McGinest wrote.

Between McGinest, Mike Vrabel, Tedy Bruschi, Richard Seymour, Rodney Harrison, Ty Law and many others, the early 2000’s Patriots defense truly was a force not to be reckoned with.

Just ask Bill Polian, he may know of the nightmares McGinest is referring to.

Happy Halloween Patriots fans!
