With the 2019 preseason halfway over, its safe to say football fans and players alike are ready for real games.

On Twitter Tuesday, Julian Edelman tweeted out a question that’s on everyone’s minds.

“Okay hands up who’s ready for football?” Edelman wrote with an accompanying photograph from training camp.

2019 marks the first time in three years Edelman will be available to open the season.

Edelman missed all of 2017 following an ACL injury and was suspended the first four games last year.

This week the Patriots begin a stretch of three straight games at home including the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 8th.

The Carolina Panthers come to Gillette Stadium on Thursday followed by the preseason finale against the New York Giants on August 29th.

The starters should see significant game action for the first time this summer on Thursday night, including quarterback Tom Brady.

For those looking for a countdown to the Super Bowl banner unveil, we’re just 18 days away.
