On Saturday the New England Patriots hit the 4pm deadline to trim their roster from 90 to 53.
Unfortunately for linebacker Marquis Flowers, he was one of those cuts.
Following the news, Flowers took to his Instagram account to thank the Patriots and fans for their support during his brief time in Foxboro.

Flowers, a sixth round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2012, saw significant playing time in 2017 for the Patriots following injuries to Dont’a Hightower and Kyle Van Noy.
He finished the season with 32 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 16 games with two starts while playing in all three Patriots postseason games.
On Monday, Flowers reunited with his old defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, signing with the Detroit Lions.
