On Thursday morning, the New England Patriots welcomed their fans back to Gillette Stadium for the first open public practice of 2016 Training Camp.

As expected fans came out in droves for the 9am start time, over 12,000 attended the session, with the annual “running of the fans” following the opening of the gates.

On social media, many players voiced their excitement to be back on the field in front of Patriot Nation.

The best sound bites of the first day came from none other than Rob Gronkowski following practice.

Lastly, Scott Sullivan of WBZ TV shared this heart tugging video of Nate Solder spending time with his son Hudson on the field.
