Texans owner Bob McNair finds his team in the spotlight thanks to their appearance this year on HBO’s “Hard Knocks”, and now he’s making a little noise of his own, just for the wrong reasons.

McNair went on Texans Radio on SportsRadio 610 Tuesday and talked about the ongoing battle between the Patriots and the league, as well as his thoughts as to how things could have gotten so out of control as it pertains to Deflate-Gate.

He claimed the lack of cooperation by both the Patriots and Tom Brady were what’s caused things to reach this point, and he says that’s what has “upset the commissioner”.

“What escalated the whole thing is, Brady and the Patriots were going to cooperate fully, and then when it came down to it, they didn’t,” McNair said on the air. “That’s what really upset the commissioner.”

To make matters worse, McNair apparently doesn’t seem to care whether or not Brady actually did anything wrong, and he seems set on Brady being punished regardless of whether or not he’s innocent – which shows that he likely falls into the camp that continues to drive Roger Goodell and the bus that’s trying to drive over the league’s reigning Super Bowl MVP.

“Is there anything conclusive there? No, you don’t have any conclusive evidence,” McNair said. “But the whole idea is we want to make sure we have a competitive playing field that’s level for everybody. We don’t want people breaking the rules.”

“In the minds of somebody in that organization they thought (deflating footballs) was important,” he added.  “They thought it would give them a competitive advantage and that’s why they did it. You just want to eliminate that kind of situation if you can.”

Judge Richard Berman had said he fully expected to issue a ruling in the next 1-2 days, but that obviously didn’t happen Tuesday and according to the Boston Herald, Berman issued a statement that said “The Court anticipates issuing its Decision and Order by the end of the week.”

That just means this mess will drag on a little longer, and hopefully Brady’s suspension will be overturned and McNair won’t get any satisfaction.  Then he and the commissioner can be upset together.
