Find it interesting that Drudge and the "Wrong News Right Now " neglected this previously... More situational outrage for the faux outrage du jour, where were they when all of this money was awarded during the Bush years???????:eek::confused::eek:

BTW nice link from Drudge is aka an oxymoron.. if you think about it, moron becomes obvious...

The right wing silence is situational and deafening..

In '04 they awarded this researcher 2.3 millions

    Darryl,

Just address THE POINT being made.

Don't bring up what people did during the Bush years
    Don't deflect from the topic
    Don't make it partisan
Don't take it personally (because in politics, NOTHING is personal)

ADDRESS THE POINT AND ONLY THE POINT.

Think you can handle that mon frere?

I ain't your f..cking mon frere... I do not believe in all of that brotherhood crap...

Lots of energy wasted there PR.... but the reality is that this crap has been going on forever, not only since 1/20/09... btw everything here is partisan.. if you do not like it there is a Romper Room Forum on everybodyfeelgood.com...

The outrage is situational and if you do not get that, then you are much dumber than you appear...

My, my, my...got your panties all up in a bunch this morning don't you dearie?:D

BTW...friendship is personal to each individual. If I say you're my friend, then you are whether you want to be or not. I may not be a friend to you, but you are to me... K' bro?

So let me address the OP's point.

It was stupid, idiotic and short-sighted to spend OUR stimulus money doing a study for a foreign nation. If our gov't is going to call a bucket of money "Stimulus" money, then they better not be spending on a foreign nation to help them solve some health issues. How does that "stimulate" our economy?

What they fail to understand is just because "Bush Did It" doesn't mean it was the right thing to do... unless, of course, they are willing to admit that because "Bush Did It" it was the right thing to do... in which case, HA

    This is true.

It's also true that many on the right dont seem to understand that when you're ok with something for 8 yrs under Bush but upset with it under Obama, you're a partisan hypocrite.

If I had been okay with it, yeah, but a common theme among conservatives was that Bush was too big government...

It's funny to see people always point to someone else, when something indefensible is done. Isn't that what kids do?

This is an example of why there's a Tea Party right now. Of why so many establishment candidates, and life time politicians, are being kicked to the curbside. Many see that this was the norm for too long. That it's happened under Bush, is happening under Obama, and won't be tolerated anymore. Voting out establishment, incumbent candidates is proof positive that people didn't like it under the last administration either. From this point on your record as a candidate will mean more than the party you represent.

Which, oddly enough, only really became the theme once his unpopularity reached epic levels around 2006.

So who supported the spending of Bush and the pubbies congress who is against the current madness?

On this board many (conservatives) were appalled with the spending of the pubbies and said so. Wrong when the pubbies did it wrong NOW.

If one of the hires was that reporter chic from the Jets locker room, then it might be money well spent. :D

I wasn't referring to you personally.

I don't think conservatives generally turned on Bush and his spending until well into his 2nd term.

Around 2005 it started to turn and 2006 bore out with the Dem victories. Many of us were holding out hope over social security reform which never came to bear. We also were unhappy with the Iraq strategy.

The funny thing I see in your exchange with Chico is that people actually believe "Their Party" is more trustworthy than the other. But the fact is, neither party is trustworthy.

Now, on the subject of our posts between members of either party, I see the same feelings/emotions being expressed between us as well. I read the distrust of democratic members by those who are republican and vice-versa.

But if we could see ourselves forming tainted opinions of fellow members just because they are member of party "X"...well, we'd prolly all be embarassed:p

Well well well. My own little personal stalker weighs in with his usual, pathetic attempts to hijack a thread and completely ignore the points at hand.

In other words, his usual mode of operations.
