White evangelicals are typically analyzed as a group, but an examination of the younger generation (those ages 18-29) provides evidence that white evangelicals may be undergoing some significant political changes. An analysis of Pew Research Center surveys conducted between 2001 and 2007 suggests that younger white evangelicals have become increasingly dissatisfied with Bush and are moving away from the GOP. The question is whether these changes will result in a shift in white evangelical votes in 2008 and beyond.

Muslims, Criminals, Movie Stars, Pedophiles, Hip Hoppers and Most Media people that work for PBS, CBS, NBC, ABC, NPR will vote for Democrats so what's the big deal with a few Honkie Jesus people, who gives a sh!t who they vote for.

Does this include your Evangelical Christian wife, NEM?

What a hateful post and stereotyping post that was. All along ive been saying this idea that all Evangelicals were right wing Republicans was incorrect, that 40%, driven largely by the black Christians who get ignored by the media, vote Democratic, and that many, many Evangelicals are turned off by loud mouth preachers who want to infer that to be a good Christian you must vote Republican.

Patters thread is very correct and very useful. It reflects what I have been saying, that many Christians, such as myself, feel that on issues of War, Helping the poor, Capital Punishment, the Environment, that its perfectly consistant with the Sermon on the Mount to be a Democrat. Obviously, I dont agree with what the Democrats have pursued on the Abortion issue, but nobody's perfect :)

Are you saying that you think that organizations that advocate for the welfare of American black people are not interested in the betterment of our nation? How about people who advocate for the welfare of kids?

I think what I said was self explanatory. Do you think the NAACP steers it's collection of followers to one party, or to vote a certain way? Be honest now. I know you can't be, but I at least have to ask you to try to be.

Quit being a racist. Don't you know that it's racist to say "colored people", even though you might be referring to the very people that the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) helps. :D
