No, of course they don't read it. But G-d forbid if you don't read all 66,000 pages of tax code and obey, obey, obey.
The notable economist Martin Feldstein has read it, however. His judgments in the Washington Post are certainly very damning for those who want this single-payer monstrosity to go through.
Read the whole thing.
Re: Stop the madness now!
Bingo. The problem with America's "health care" is that there are too many divorced -- or even never married -- families that have produced tens of millions of children that NOBODY wants to take responsibility for. On top of that, now we have some 10 million MORE illegals, all of whom need a doctor now and then. So who has to pay up every time one of these kids/people needs a doctor, when they go to the emergency room, where they cannot be turned away by law???? You got it: the honest, diligent, responsible, hard-working families who do get private health insurance because they have legitimate businesses and jobs.
Add to that the totally rapacious out-of-control tort lawyers suing every doctor into charging astronomical rates, and you get the "perfect storm" of totally unnecessary costs added into the present health care system.
If you want socialized, government-run health care, go check out Canada or Cuba.
Good luck if you get sick. You're gonna need it.
