This extended primary season is provide a lot of laughs and boondoggles by the right.. neither of these two candidates will be on the ballot in the Virginia Primary..

Gingrich and his crew must all have red faces this morning as this is his home state.. what an embarassment.

The main stream media did it..

    Time to change the rules..

I like him as well. Thinks outside the box and is a true outsider if you ask me. America wants cvhange, but i not sure they are ready for ron Paul. Paul is taking a hit now because these letters are surfacing from long ago that has some language in it that is turning people off.

I find it funny when a Rep starts to top the polls, the smear engine fires up and ncks them down. First Newt starts tearing it up in the polls, and then we remind everyone that he is a discusting human being...now he is realling. Ron Paul takes over and cue the machine trying to take him out.

    I love politics

He would appeal to a great base, as he hates Jews, Gays and Minorities..

Especially funny considering that virtually all of the "smears" (which, btw, is not exactly the correct word. Smear implies lies or untruths - most of what's being brought up about Newt and Paul is fact and/or past history) are coming from other conservative sources....either from the other Republican candidates themselves or from right-wing media outlets.

The Dems don't even have a dog in this race yet - they're pretty much keeping their mouths shut.

Guess yesterday he was saying he would have an agressive write in campaign in Va.... come to find out there is no provision for write in candidates in Virginia Primaries...

Lots of ooops moments for Gingrich lately..

Of course this great historian, put a faux historical spin on it.. this failure was comparable to Pearl Harbor.. wonder how the remaining WWII vets will feel about that..

Who gives a sh!t, these are professional politicians we're dealing with and ALL politicians are SCUM, the filth of humankind, keep your chilldren away from them, they are worse than the lowest form of reptile that crawleth on face of the earth, they were cursed while still in the womb, the Lord Thy God created them so show his children what the bowels of the Vermin Vipers and Swine can release from their rectums.

If you suspect that your Fetus will produce a Politician ABORT IT.

    Bullsh1t, generalization machine-boy.

There are buttwipes of all ideologies. Check.

Power will attract people with the character flaw that they have somewhat unsavory uses for power. Check.

    Power corrupts anyway. Check.

However, the premise that every person who holds office is corrupt is and has always been bullsh1t.

There's way more slime out there than there should be. But this self-negating march to the cliff edge is just stupid.

Get used to the idea that if you live in a representative democracy -- and you do -- you'll have to accept some level of purity as sufficient to qualify someone to represent you.

Start with not making up stuff about the good ones, and you'll quickly come to the conclusion that we just smear the ones you can admire because they're just too bland, or sometimes because they're "on the other side."

And by the way, imagine yourself as the candidate. What would you get quickly tossed aside for?

That said: sort out whatever you think is worst, and vote for the guys that make a case, however you measure that. I've got my guys, and am pretty clear that they're clean enough to vote for.

Are you telling me there's not one candidate among the army of republican wannabes who pass the sniff test?

Uncle Teddy & Billy Blue Dress are the "Big Guns" in the adultry & family disloyalty department, there are plenty more out there just like them.

Instead of being "American Heros" in the history books Uncle Teddy & Billy will be American Historys biggest Whore Mongers, history students will be laughing at Billy Blue Dresses "Cigar" a hundred years from now, Uncle Teddy will just be a cowardly drunken creep who left the girl to die.

I don't personally care for NEWT but Newt is a friggin saint compared to these two.

I don't blame Gingrich's lack of planning for this. Its just one more sign that the GOP has gone batschit crazy. Back when Newt was kicking back in Greece would have been a good time for him to have been doing his Virgina prepwork. He didn't bother because at the time his candidacy was DOA. However, today GOP voters are about as flighty as teenage girls are about fashion.
