Springs will be in the second year of a 3-year deal, at a cap number of $3,257,280.

Taylor will be in the final year of a 2-year deal, at a cap number of $2,732,280.

Light will be in the final year of a 6-year extension, at a cap number of $4,507,280. Since it was an exercised option year, there will be no cap hit if he is released.

Should they stay or should they go? This assumes there is no salary cap for 2010.

I think Vollmer is ready to take over Light's roll.
If Light could accept a backup roll at less money that would be good
    otherwise move on.

I'd like to see Taylor one more year behind an upgraded Oline at RG and Center and Mankins re-signed.

I'd like to see Springs again with an improved pass rush by the front 7.

Keep them all. Light gets a bad rap but I still prefer him and Vollmer to Vollmer and Kaczur at T. Taylor can still ball when we don't abandon the run and Springs will be important if Bodden isn't kept around.

Keep Taylor...I think we have successfully replaced Matt Light with Volmer and Springs at this point just isnt worth it.

Today we saw a team have enough game tape to isolate vollmer to take advantage of him.Once we came in lewis was crashing the B gaps and Johnson was made to loook at Suggs. Iam suprised people want him to now play and are comfortable that the game after he got his butt kicked to protect brady.
Light drove suggs 7-8 yards behind the line i have no clue why brady never stepped up and actually went back into to suggs.

Springs will keep him he played well repeat we need a pass rush .falco threw 10 passes and you think that is why we lost

Fred taylor no clue will keep him as we are used to OLD washed up injury prone RB.

Give Bodden any money that Springs would have otherwise made. He has to go and not because I don't like him, but because he didn't make the impact I wanted him to.

All should stay ... Springs took a while but he's a tough player I'd like to see stay.

Fred Taylor ... tough call ... not sure if he can block well anymore on pass plays. Maroney can't either so 2 guys who can't does not cut it.

Matt Light ... $4.5 million is a great number for his skill set ... he stays.

If there is a real good blocking TE in the draft then he'll be a great friend for Matt.

Holly was saying for a while that Springs was one of the bad eggs in the locker room. No idea if it's true but if it is he's gone no matter what but if it's not true he was decent at the end.

Light won't be cut. They would trade him to KC or Atlanta. He still has value and they could kick him to guard.

Taylor is an incomplete because of his injuries but he's always been injury prone. Also AP and CJ couldn't run behind this line some (most) days.

Taylor's the only one of the three that I'd like to see back next year. Realistically, Light will be back to play out the last year of his contract, unless someone trades for him for some reason

I think Taylor might retire. I think Springs will get cut if the Pats feel they can upgrade the position with another free agent. Light stays. He is relatively cheap and has been playing well no matter what his detractors say about him.

Taylor and Springs are both pretty useless.

    Disable Jersey

Light is this team's best offensive tackle. I have no interest in letting him get away.

Springs is an enigma, because we don't know why he got so little game time this season. It wouldn't be fair for me to comment, but I won't be surprised if he's not brought back.

Taylor seemed alright prior to his injury, so it's a matter of whether or not the team thinks he's still got gas in the tank. Given the team's nonsensical treatment of Maroney over the past 3 games, I'm moving forward under the assumption that LoMo will be not be back, so that makes keeping Taylor more likely.

    Keep them all.

SPRINGS did reasonably well whenever he was called on, at least when he was healthy. He can start when needed. He can be our nickel or dime back. He is under contact for two more years. This is not the kind of player you cut.

I have no idea why anyone would consider cutting TAYLOR.

I guess some would like Vollmer to start at LT and Kaczur at RT. I'd rather LIGHT stay and Vollmer have another year at RT. The question is for 2011 not 2010. mayo has suggested drafting a RT this year to replace LeVoir on the roster and to hopefully be our 2011 starting RT. This is not a bad plan if we can afford the draft choice.

I actually kinda like LeVoir as a backup. I'd rather we draft a first-day RT who could start immediately. Either way, though, things are looking pretty grim on the interior of the line, especially if Neal retires.

Neal will retire this year or next. Mankins has one more year left. We need to draft a guard or even two, long before we think of drafting a tackle, given that we have four nfl quality tackles on the squad.

If you let Springs go, you are pushing Wilhite and Wheatley closer to the top of the depth chart. I hope you have a plan to replace Springs - don't think either one of those guys will ever develop into a starter and the latter guy is going to have trouble even making the team. That leaves Butler and Bodden, who is not even locked up.

Missing the good ole days of Poole and Law, backuped by Asante and Gay the following year. No headaches.

I was really getting to think Maroney would be around for a few more years.

His running aside ... he is a horrible pass blocker
and I think that is why he goes more than anything. On a running team he would be a nice #2 RB.

He bounced off Ray Lewis today ... that was ugly.
