Ok...so conservatives don't trust Hufington Post or Politico - but The Wall Street Journal?

I mean, if they notice something, it's gotta be taken at least somewhat seriously, doesn't it?

What say you, Conservatives? How do you defend your guy from your own guys?

I read that earlier... Willard's weaknesses are becoming more and more obvious to the right.

    Don't they vette their candidates???

Romney probably already has a [IMG] therefore no one felt the need.

Being able to afford one is the important thing.

Yup. If I were a Republican, I would be steamed at Romney. His campaign's bungling of such an easy political issue doesn't portend well for November. This plus the Vanity Fair revelations...Republicans are going to be grasping for that lifeline.

So Romney isn't the sharpist tool in the shed, still he isn't Obama.

Lot of good points in that article. I'm glad they wrote it now while there's still plenty of time to adjust as opposed to waiting until, say, October 28.

There are no circumstances where I could see you voting for a pub over a dem.

Fact I have never seen you critize a dem on any policy matter.

I agree with my esteemed libtards ;) on this issue. I think Romney did a terrible job handling this issue.

Still, I think that its a little bit of "whistling past the graveyard" to think Romney doesn't pose a very real threat to beat Obama this fall.

This campaign does remind me of the John Kerry campaign. Kerry spent too much time listening to his handlers and not enough time being himself and it cost him. I don't get the impression that Romney is the leader of his campaign. sure you can have bright minds behind you but the campaign has to be about you. He still has time but it's running out.

Romney has tons of holes. Everyone knows that. In the importal words often spoken in politics, come November "it's the economy stupid". If we're not getting better, it may be President Mitt Romney. If things show signs of improvement, then it will continue to be President Obama. I really think it's that simple this time. Sure other issues will motivate, or influence people on both sides in some way, but utlimately the economy will drive this election like no other in my lifetime.

PS, when I say economy, I include the governments finances to some degree. Deficits and debt are a part of the economic conversation imo.

Romney can raise lots of money. That's basically it. He can also benefit from circumstance, but given the latest ADP report it doesn't look like the economy is going to tank enough to put him over the top.

The ADT report? Are you effing kidding. OK, so it's not going to be as DIRE as once projected, but it certainly isn't going to indicate that our economy is healthy, or on the road to recovery.

And besides, do you honestly think that the ADT report is gonna sway the average independent. Hell no, they are going to go by the way they FEEL, and increasingly they feel like this country is headed in the wrong direction.

Like I said........ Your "whistling past the graveyard". That's fine. Whatever gets you through the night.

ADP. Baseline is 150k according to Nate Silver, so yes, exceeding that number is good news for Obama.

I never said it was a good number, but given the global economy and history of nations recovering from a financial crisis, it should be good enough to keep Obama in the job.

I'd say I'm pretty familiar with it. That's been my motto which I have repeated many, many times in the past few years with regards to health care reform.

You didn't listen to me then, so why should I listen to you now?
