All this info if taken alone is interesting reading, but no more. I don't understand how anyone can want to waste any draft capital on any WR before the 6th round.....IF that. Don't you understand what we already have in young receivers. I don't understand how someone can get all wet watching college highlights and prefer that player over someone who already has over 40 catches in the NFL.
Between Tyms, Dobson, Boyce, Edelman, Lafell and Amendola, the Pats not only have a receiver corps that was good enough to be a top 10 passing game, top 5 offense, and win a superbowl, they will have one that will be even BETTER if left alone to continue to work with the QB. Why can't some people understand the concept and value of CONTINUITY
If some WR comes to us as an UDFA or low round pick and develops into a WR version of Malcolm Butler, I'm fine with that. But quite frankly, I don't see any WR that would be available to us where we will pick could bring us any better set of skills than what we already have in Dobson and Tyms. Given we will start the year with Lafell, Edelman, and Amendola, we have the time to be patient and develop these talents. BTW- this never considers what the Pats might do in integrate Tim Wright in the offense.
Already we have so many options and only one ball. Remember a #1 receiver is not a necessity for this offense. Besides all this incessant talk about WR's is taking away from my efforts to learn about who the best DT's, pass rushers and OG's are. '
