Cowboys | Ticket options announced for new stadium
Tue, 20 Nov 2007 17:10:43 -0800

Andrea Ahles and Sally Claunch, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports the Dallas Cowboys have announced ticket option fees for their new stadium, which is expected to be ready for the 2009 season. Tickets will cost $340 per game for lower bowl seating. Ticketholders will also have to purchase a personal seat license. About half of the 15,000 club seats will have a PSL costing $16,000 per seat, with the remainder costing more depending on the seat's location. A 30-year financing option will be available for the PSL with an interest rate of about eight percent. The team has not determined how much tickets will cost for the rest of the stadium. The majority of those will have personal seat licenses.

$340/game?!?!?! are they on crack?

Get two PSLs for $32K, 8%, 30 yrs.....
That's $234.80 a month for the next thirty years AND you get to sped $340 a ticket..... 10 games x2...that's another $6800 annually.............
With total payments, that $32,000 will cost $84,528..Nice of Jerry to finance it for you.....

That's $42K per PSL once you add in interest and premium parking is another $750/yr......

That's actually a fairly reasonable price compared to what the Patriots charge. The article makes it clear that the $340 is for the very best club seats, which are in the lower bowl. The Patriots charge $300/$400/$500 for their club seats, which are in the 2nd tier of Gillette Stadium.

The only unusual thing here is that teams that sell PSL's usually charge a lower fee for a club seat PSL because they get so much for the tickets themselves. I will bet you dollars to donuts they revise that pricing scheme. They can't have their cake and eat it; it is difficult to get high PSL fees for club seats.
