Worst is a tough one. There are just so many. I could start with all hair bands of the late 80s and 90s (i.e. Bon Jovi LA Guns). But, that's more a genera. I would have to go with Dave Mathews Band. I can not stand his voice. And he was/is so dam popular.

    Hey Now!!

NKOTB was the first concert I ever went to at the Boston Garden, in 1988/89 I think. I was in Middle School and in love with Joey :D

    So easy its pitiful:

Neal Sedaka, and I dont even care if I spelled it wrong.

Worst 3 songs of all time:
    1.)Calendar girl
    2.)Muskrat Love
3.)Little Bit Country, Little Bit Rock and Roll

edit: A close second to worst artist is Culture Club. And Do You Really Wanna Hurt Me is in my top 5 songs.

Your right I forgot about him and I would add Paul Anka with You're Having My Baby the worst song of all times.

How about anyone who doesn't even play an instrument, you know, those people who think a computer programer in a musician. And how about those so called boy bands, boy bands, how can you be a band when you don't even know what a guitar is, let alone play it?

A lot of the crap that's out there today could qualify. I can't stomach most of today's music- and I agree with Michael on DMB. But I have to say that the band I despise the most is 311. Maybe because I associate them with an ex boyfriend, or maybe because all of their songs sound the same to me, but I immediately change the channel when they come on the radio. Of course, my husband and I have completely opposite taste in music (e.g., he lieks crap, I don't), so we ususally listen to ESPN Radio on XM when we're both in the car together.

So much of Bill's brain devoted to football he just doesn't have room for musical taste. [wink]

Culture Club????...at least BG can sing. That would be like me saying Bruce Springsteen s*cks because he can't sing or Elton John because he has a bowl-shaped haircut or Sting because he has a fake tan or Billy Joel because he can't stop hitting trees with his $100K Mercedes.

Dave Matthews...that's an honest answer. Not sure he sings though, more mumbling and chewing his lyrics. Most people either love or hate him.

New Kid on the Block? That's the one you're going with? That was 20 years ago......I guess that is bad if the disgust has stayed with that long.

    I need Tunescribe's opinion.

Personally I hate Joan Baez (for taking extra time during Live Aid to rant & rave when Elvis Costello was up next. Poor bast*rd only got to do one song).
Amazing Grace is like the only song she's sung for the last 35 years....

And I hate Barry Manilow simply for the fact that 50 and 60 year old women
throw their underwear at him in concert (I know this only from news reports, I swear). It's just wrong!

And I hate Joni Mtchell...saw her at a summer concert on the Boston Common a bizillion years ago. Early start at 6pm so there was a lot of late people. She was 'offended' and stormed off the stage after 2 songs...not to return. Refunds? No. 20 years later: Bite me, Joni, you s*ck!

Bob Dylan should have written songs for someone else. The man cannot and never could sing.

Our Lady Peace always annoyed me, especially 'cause there was this girl I hated who'd refer to them as OLP. You can't refer to a nothing band by an acronym and deride me when I have no clue what you're talking about. I tried listening to their whole CD because Superman's Dead was ok. The CD was awful.

Wheatus. My girlfriend loves the CD with Teenage Dirtbag on it. Ugh.

Rolling Stones are pretty crappy. Not on any "worst ever" list but their crappiness is of note due to their place in rock history.

Greatful Dead. Bad music propped up by stoners who want affirmation. I remember when my friend discovered pot when we were 13 and he suddenly loved the Dead. I think I said something like "when did you start listening to this *expletive deleted*"

Fergie. She's like a less hot, more annoying Kylie Minogue. And her music is crappier (what little I've heard).

The guy who wrote that 9-11 song. No not Alan jackson, the other guy. You know, the one who didn't have a career before 9-11.

I could go on forever. These simply popped to mind.

Dylan should've just been the poet he is but then again he's got a voice even I can mimic. (Neighborhood Bully being a favorite)

I don't like Fergie either...for being less hot almost as much as the bad music.

You really know your crappy music. You're pretty accurate about the Pats as well.

Ha ha ha ha...the definitive list (except I would've said the Americanized Bee Gees).

Quit ripping on Barry, asswipe :D

I'm an out of the closet Barry fan. I've seen him live about 6 times and he's awesome.

"Weekend in New England" and "Not What You See" are two of my favorite songs ever.

Did you ever see that news story a while back where he walked into a wall in a dark room and knocked himself out?

Hey Tune, have you heard the new Wetton/Downs Icon II CD ? Just wondering if you like it - I love it, way more than Icon. Their best since Alpha IMO.
