A Vestas Windmill has exploded and broken in half outside of the small village Halling in eastern Jutland. The police maintained a safety perimeter of 400 m, so no one is injured.

The mill, which ran out of control and turned at a fast rate, suddenly blew to pieces with a loud sound. One third of the mill still remains and the rest is spread around the area, reports TV2's reporter which Anders Lifland who was at site.

Technicians in the mill Vestas tells Falct, that the explosion went as expected: The glass fiber in the mill could not stand the pressure and broke in half. Pieces of wreckage and remains of wings were scattered over most part of the safety perimeter set up by the police.
