With the Dolphins loss yesterday, the Patriots now have sole possession of 1st place in the AFC East.

1. Patriots (5-3) (2-0)
2. Dolphins (4-4) (1-1) [1 GB]
3. Jets (3-5) (2-2) [2 GB]
4. Bills (3-5) (0-2) [2 GB]

Do you see them staying there for the entire rest of the season?

Yes. Not because I think they are unbeatable, but because they already have the lead and everyone below them has more issues than they do. Even if Miami can pull off the upset on 12/2 the Pats will probably have a 2 game lead by then.

I voted no for reverse effect success :D

They will because they have to, plain and simple. I don't think there will be any Wild Cards coming out of the AFC East.

The poll didn't say "in sole possession of 1st place." The way this season is going, it's not out of the realm of possibility that the Dolphins could tie them at some point, depending on which Dolphins team finishes out the season. But, the worst case is that the Pats settle it on the last day of the season.

With two divisional foes in tailspin, and the Doofins the red-headed stepchild du jour, who else holds the top spot in the division?

You know it's BYE WEEK when painfully predictable threads like this pop up.

Ofcourse everyone is going to vote yes.

Wow, a Jets loss today and we'll have a 3 game lead on them and the Bills and 2 games on the Dolphins.

Not too bad after being all tied at 3-3 not too long ago.
