No, I'm serious. The Arizona weather and conditions should be perfect for a high scoring game.

The only thing I'm wondering is if BB will "call of the dogs" after the Pats go up big early. I'm thinking that he is still haunted by the loss to the Colts in the AFCCG last year, and the Pats will go pedal to the medal from start to finish. So I'm thinking the Pats will score a minimum of 38 points on the Giants. It might get even uglier if Eli turns the ball over with regularity.

Don't forget, gamblers, BB doesn't care about the spread. The Pats could have easily covered in several games, including the Giants and Chargers. But all the team cares about is the W. Give the points at your risk.

Well considering it is the last game, and it's for all the marbles, I don't think BB is gonna hold anything back. It's the SuperBowl, i think if you have any chance to run up the score, they have to do it!! I pray that the team will be in that type of situation. Run it up if they can, win at all cost!!

I'll be happy if we win by 1, or 30. That said, this is the last game of the season, and BB will not be calling off the dogs until the game can be won with a kneel down. That said, as the seasons gone along they've shown a greater propensity to run out the clock with the running game than with passing, and I think we'd see that again if the game is relatively in hand late.

In my best Jim Mora voice :

"Run up the Score ? Run up the Score ? I'm just hoping to win the damn game" :)

I hope this is a decision Bill has to make - but, sure, if we're lucky enough to have a 21 point lead after 3 quarters we'll still be trying to score. 5 minutes to go, probably not. After three 3 point SB wins, I am sure Belichick would like a thumping if he could get it.

All signs point to it but thank god Coach B & the team are not concerned about covering the spread since that is not the focus. I wouldn't say it anyways because it does look like arrogance and 'bad karma' just to act this way as fans...just say, like I believe, that the PATS will most likely prevail (~99% probability confidence) with our health / game planning and matchups all point to!

I just have a feeling it is going to come down to a last minute drive with passes to Troy Brown, JR Redmon and Jermaine Wiggins. That will get them into FG range, then old dependable AV comes in... Wait a minute...

Does anyone know when the last time the Pats played in conditions similar to next Sunday and what the score was? Just curious.

Well, the last time they played in a dome was in Indy on Nov 4th, and that was 24-20. All their games since then have been outdoors in northern cities. The only other two warm weather games they played this year were at Dallas and at Miami, which they won by nearly identical scores (48-27 and 49-28 respectively) in back-to-back October weekends.

Dallas is the only game all year they had to go further than the Midwest, and only those two October games were played in the South. Really, they haven't played much warm weather football (or domed, for that matter) all year.

Not that it was a factor in going 18-0, but of those 18 games only four were played outside of the New England/Mid-Atlantic corridor. (@Miami, @ Dallas, @Indy, @ Cincinnati). I'd say that's pretty nice scheduling.

Since you are sitting in third place, a TD behind, in the "Predict the Score" contest you will have to put your prediction where your mouth is! :)

Just win by one and I'll be a happy guy:D But to answer your question: I think the G-men are a very good team and will give us a game. We on the other hand have everything to play for on the line here. I think BB will pull out all the stops on this game and score as much as he can. He will leave nothing to chance. Anything that has not been used this year will have the wrapper taken off and polished up for this game. I have a feeling he has yet to show the full potential of the defensive schemes he has yet unveiled in order to get to this point. The G-men are a hungry lot and should be taken very seriously.

No problem. I didn't take the time to look up the exact temperature of the games, but I'm sure that info is available. Obviously Indy and Dallas are the closest comps, since they play in domes (though I believe UoP Stadium has grass).

Really, looking at their schedule all the people who said before the Jags game that the Pats "were a finesse team not built for cold weather" seem even more ridiculous, since they essentially never left the colder Northeast except for the trip to Miami (which was early in the season) and the two dome games.

for those who don't get it, this is a trash talk thread (though I do believe in jinxes), i'm not ready to try to improve my dismal 30th place in predict the score, but 46--10 would have a nice ring to it, but only just for trash talk purposes, of course.:D

Since people started making threads on blowing teams out, they haven't blown any teams out. I'm not usually superstitious, but I just feel like this is bad karma. Plus it gets tedious week after week.
