Given the reports of McGowan being very casual and seemingly unaffected after their loss, I think it's safe to say he isn't much of a leader in the locker room. I'd think a guy like Jarvis Green who has been here for awhile and has won big games before would be able to fill some of the void. Perhaps he's a quiet type, who knows
I thought it sounded silly because he hasn't even spent a full season with the team. I just can't imagine going into an organization and trying to motivate everyone right away. So, on that level I agree with you about Green. However, going forward, McGowan should start feeling more comfortable in talking the way he plays. He is one of the few guys on the field that I see playing with a passion on every play.
