If the Pats do win the division, the wild card game will likely be a rematch.

By the end of the season, the Pats will have played the wild card contender currently 8-5, the three teams currently 7-6, and two of the three teams now 6-7. (Pitt is the other.)

Two of those games, by the way, are yet to come.

I think it'll be the Broncos or the Ravens. And neither of those teams scare me with the game in Foxboro.

Let's just hope the Pats can finish strong and win the division.

Beating the Ravens in the playoffs would be sweet because I hate that team, but the Broncos would be an easier matchup imo

We beat the Ravens, we lost to the Broncos, Marshall just had 21 catches for 200 yards and 2 TDs now put that guy up against a now deflated secondary. Ravens strong point is the run, our strong point is our run defense.

except we get the broncos at home, which is a big difference from playing them on the road. they own us in Denver but at home I think we could win. then we would probably have to play Indy on the road again which could again be an intriguing matchup.

I know BB aint having his best year, but I still like my chances when he faces a team twice.

I'd rather see just about anyone other than the Broncos. History does not favor the pats in this matchup.

Baltimore came to Foxboro, Patriots went to the Broncos.

    Big difference.

I'd rather play the Ravens. It's not even close for me. The Broncos defense basically shut us down in that game; they have the talent in the secondary to double Moss and Welker and take away our other receivers. I also don't think our defense could contain Denver's wideouts. Wouldn't matter to me if it was home or away.

The Ravens on the other hand don't scare me at all. Their best player is Ray Rice and it's a big drop after that.

I'd rather play Balt. instead of Denver.

Of course the team has to EARN a playoff spot first.

Same here, I could see the 6 seed beating the 3 seed (Bengals) in round 1, then the 6 seed would go to Indy.

the pats are going to be the 4 seed and i don't see any one takeing the 5 seed from denver so it will be the return of josh mcdaniels to new england

the pats don't loose at home in the playoffs but this is not the glory years any more

they lost 2 in a row for the first time in 3 years

they lost to a NFC team for the first time in 4 years

this is not the same team and they will need to score 30 a game in the playoff to beat any one and if they don't get moss more in to the game they won't get 30 points

If it does come about that it's Patriots versus Broncos at Foxboro, we'll beat them.

We are so familar with Colts; it does not matter how many time we paly each other. It seems every season we see these guys a couple of time.

That familiarity did not translate to success. Colts won 6 of last 7... so don't bet on Bill winning that second meeting.

My Chrystal ball says Miami vs Denver. Sorry to disappoint you, but Pats won't win the game at Baffalo.

If they can't beat "Baffalo" they have more problems than the ones argued about incessantly on here.

I don't have a good feeling about this game...too many intengibles are in their favor:

    1. Redemption ... they had that game won and they blew it. their most painful loss this season.
    2. interim coach trying to prove himself...(what can be a better prove-it game than in-division game, knocking off division leader at home)
    3. team on a hot streak
    4. effective both pass and run
    5. new QB making good decisions... agains a weak pass defense.
    6. pats palying bad on the road
    7. Bills' good pass d... 8. Bills at home ...the list goes on

This one reminds of the match up again Denver.

We will know by Sunday evening... I gave 65-70% prob Bills win.

I'm secretly hoping we win the division and you guys get in via the wildcard and have to come down to Miami again. That would be sweet.

On the NFC side, the Packers and Cardinals play in week 17 and will very likely play in the wildcard round as 4 and 5 seeds in the playoffs. That's interesting to me.
