On Page 200 or so of Chris Price's new book on the Patriots, Brady talks about the team being 3-4 in 2002. To paraphrase him maybe some of us don't want it so much, each game is a struggle for survival.

Its worth picking up the book and checking out that one thought process.

And it is why we win again and again and again.
Certainly we are limited by physical abilities, injuries, salary constraints and management decisions but the one certainty we need to believe is that we are not limited by the thought process of arguably one of the greatest players of all time Tom Brady.

Certainly the loss of Colvin is huge.

But to quote another,

"If you have the faith of a mustard seed you can move mountains"

I'll take Brady's faith over the Steelers
Pats 42
Steelers 21

I have my own theory,FWIW, of why the Pats win so much, particularly late in games.

Conditioning.

I've read where players have commented on the intensity
of the conditioning program.
Opposing lineman, be they offensive or defensive, tend to wear down toward the end of the game. Our guys are just getting a second wind.

They win because they are menatlly tougher than any other team
