Why Can't Obama Bring Wall Street to Justice? - The Daily Beast

To summarize, prosecutions for security fraud down 30% from 2003 and at a 20 year low.

No Wall St bigwigs indicted by Holder DoJ for fraud associated with 2008 financial collapse.

Holder and top Lt's he brought in worked for Covington, guess what Law firm the big Wall St guys use?

Wall St donating big for Obama..... The Chicago way in action.

"Wall Street" uses many law firms, and Covington & Burling isn't one of the more notable ones.

    Facts to back you claim?

This story from Newsweek seems pretty extensive.

Another disengenuous article as Holder does not indict anyone, he doesn't even bring the case to court... his staff does.

What is the current incidence of law breaking?? How many cases do they have evidence of, that they failed to prosecute???

There is always more to the picture than meets the eye..

Did you cross the street to the 99%?????

IOW no facts beyond your feeling, got it.

How does that account for prosecutions being off 30% given the alleged fraud assocaited with the Financial collapse on 2008?

Love the ability of libs to ignore crime when it is their guys giving a pass to the criminals.

IOW you chose not to look at the league tables. got it.

(btw, while league tables certainly are subject to a certain amount of judgment, you can rest assured they don't take into account my feelings)

It doesn't. (and I didn't claim it does, did I?)

Who's ignoring anything? I stated a fact regarding your post. You just didn't like it.

    Stop making things up, 13.

Are you disputing the facts presented in the article?

    Or just deflecting as usual.

If I translate that to English, are you asking for a league table?

Sure, 13, gladly -- just tell me which one you'd like to see, as I have zero confidence that you are being sincere here -- M&A? IPOs? bonds, what? 2012? 2011?

You're confused, I see. I stated a fact regarding your post. That's not deflecting, so stop making things up.

No personal attack, you're making things up. I'm not a liberal, I'm not ignoring any crimes and Holder's not my guy.

You made things up, it's quite simple. Now maybe you should stop doing that, huh, 13?

    Yup, just as expected.

As I stated, 13, I was commenting on the claim in your post.

Your refusal to tell me which league chart you want to see is quite telling.

    Nope.

I'm also not ignoring any crimes, and Holder's not my guy.

So you should stop making things up. Adding more question marks or emoticons doesn't change anything.

That, too, is false, 13. Stop making things up.

Where did I say I disagreed with facts in the article, 13? I was commenting on one part of your post. I don't know how to state that any more clearly for you.

(btw, ALL CAPS doesn't make your communication more effective. maybe you should save the time you apparently spend on all caps, emoticons and redundant punctuation marks and spend a moment reading what you write to see if it's actually something resembling English. Your posts are looking more and more like harry's, just less legible)

Chico, Chico, Chico. You can put up a sign that says "no swimming," but it's really not fair to put that sign up in a dolphin tank and ping flipper for his out-of-line behavior. You can put up a sign that says "no flying," but it's almost unspeakably cruel to put up a sign that says that next to an eagle's eyrie, then shoot said disobedient raptor.

By what perversity of human nature are you compelled to continue to say to 13 "stop making things up?"

It's cruel, I tell you. Cruel.

This story is getting solid mainstream support on Yahoo Finance....and that's a good thing for all American citizens!

Why Obama Lacks Political Will to Crackdown on Wall Street

"The presidential election is well under way but as President Barack Obama tries to position himself as the defender of the middle-class who will protect the 99% against corporate malfeasance and too big to fail banks, he may find himself in a precarious position. His record does not necessarily reflect his rhetoric and at the same time Wall Street donors have padded his campaign coffers."

Do any of you really think that Romney will do a better job in this area??

Mittford can't even hold his ground against the extreme christian right, who he bowed to when he fired Grenell and then got bytchslapped by Bryan Fischer.. Romney is a very weak man.

Out of curiosity, how many cases has he not prosecuted??? Or is this just more make up shyt again..

An example of this faulty thinking is that currently in the US there have been less homicides and violent crime, thus the rate of prosecution is down, Does that mean that the attorney generals in each state are committing "malfeasance"?????..

    Some interesting information..

These charts clearly illustrate that there has been a decrease commencing with George Bush..

Its a fact that the AG under Obama hasn't pursued Wall Street for their shameful mega white collar crimes...just like Bush's AG didn't and Romney's AG won't.

Doesn't matter who is in the Oval Office or who the AG is, money has no enemies at that level.

There is no indication that Obama was bullied... Mitt was bullied by an extreme righty and then chided by the guy who bullied him...

Bryan Fischer, who if Romney wins will be Secretary of the Department of Theocracy..
