Not: Who do you WANT to win?

Who do you think WILL win?

And why?

I think the Packers will win, mainly because they will score more points than the Steelers.

Packers. More balanced team. Top defense and a great passing offense.

While both teams are great at defending the pass (#1 and #2 in defensive passer rating), I think that Green Bay has been better at passing the ball of late (Aaron Rogers postseason passer rating 109.2, Ben Roethlisberger 75.5).

Packers will win because I want them too. :D

And because they're better. Even if Pitt's D slows down Rodgers & Co. a bit, the Steeler O won't be able to get much going.

I think the Packers should win unless the Steelers veteran D gives Rogers the yips or the 12th man raises his ugly head or McCarthy goes into his stupidity shell late. Absent Pouncy the Steelers offense couldn't get out of their own way in the second half of the AFCC game and the D nearly let the Sanchize play second half hero. Apparently they are down to just one regular season starter on their OL. Although of course the Pack almost blew it to a backup QB down the stretch in the NFCC and Rogers went cold as a mackrel in the second half as well.

BJ Raji + Clay Matthews > the Steelers injured OL

Lets see here - Ben's last game went kinda like this......

10 for 19, 52% Completion, No TD's and 2 INT's and a 35.5 QB Rating

Packers - BY 2 Scores. :D

I want the Pack to win, but Steelers should take this game. The Pack had a rough time stopping the Bears running game even with how awful the passing game was for the Bears. The Steelers ran at the Jet's stout ran defense and should be able to do it against the Packers. On the flip side, the Steeler's defense should do an okay job slowing down that Pack offense. The Packers OL is not as stout compared to the Jet's OL so the Steelers should be able to get some pressure on Rodgers. I see Polamalu stealing away an INT by sitting on one of those quick slants that Rogers likes to throw when facing pressure.

X-factor will be Ben. He may not have great statistical games, but on critical downs to keep drives alive, he gets enough yards running or stands long enough in the pocket to make key throws. Rodgers can do it as well, but I have more faith in Ben because he's proven in the biggest of games.

I hope I'm wrong though.

Let's go Pack!

This is going to be another horrible Super Bowl with the Steelers winning it. Last year we were lucky having the Saints win. I think we used up all that luck. Now it has to go back to crappy Super Bowl outcomes to continue the trend of 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Agreed. Stillers win this one. Pack jumps out to a lead in the 2nd half but can't close them out. They have let the last 2 teams come back they have played. Only this time Ben makes a play or two with his legs against the tired Pack D to win the game. No way we get another NFC dramatic win like last season.

At first I was thinking Packers, but after watching the GB offense against the Bears, now I'm not so sure. A lot depends on Pouncey, I think, since they need to keep pressure from coming up the middle.

Pitt WRs vs GB secondary- GB >
Pitt O-line vs GB Front 7 - GB >
Pitt QB vs GB QB- Pitt > (but b/c of big game experience) but Rogers is better

With that said, I would say that the GB passing game can do a better job vs the Pitt D than NYJ but I don't see GB running the ball sucessfully, but they will be able to make some plays in the passing game as I don't think Pitt's secondary is that special.

GB is winning this game, 21-17.

Pouncey's out from what it sounds like. he can barely walk.

...and with BJ Raji playing like a one-man wrecking machine now, it's an injury situation that bears watching closely.

Chose "Stillers" only becuase I know the officials will escort them to a win as they did in their past two SB appearances.

I think we need to see another performance like Ben did against the Seahawks in the SB years ago.

He had like a 25.0 passser rating and the Seahawks simply weren't good enough on offense to make up for a horrid day by Ben...The Packers have the offense to get it done but they must make life miserable for Ben

If Rodgers outplays Ben then I think the Packers have a good enough defense to win this game.

I don't see the gap between Pouncey and Legursky to be a big swing factor, to be honest.

The vote is heavily on the side of the Packers but most of the posts favor the Steelers.

Hmmmmm.

Though the Jets did get some zebra assistance in that last game....

It's a lot easier when the officials won't even flag you for delay of game.

I wouldn't lean to heavily on the Packers troubles against the Bears defense last Sunday. As divisional opponents, those two teams play each other so often that it makes the games closely contested defensive struggles the majority of the time.

Be that as it may, I think the Packers will win this one by 7-10 points. Something like 24-14 or 24-17. I can't see the Steelers offense minus their center lighting up the Packers solid defense next Sunday.

Go Pack Go!!! :singing:
