Indeed nice job - I love the FantasyTailgate prediction of Carriker and Griffin - Abolutely Love Carriker and Griffin in the 1st round but doubt Adam will be there by 24,Griffin probably.

I still don't know what you see in McCauley - May not even make it in Round One at least not until the Bears or Colts pick,He's a big question mark IMO

He is a big question mark. But I believe he also has the most upside of any CB in the draft, Hall included. By all accounts his problems last year were technique and confidence. Not a lack of effort, desire, ability. I think those problems he had can be fixed with a good coaching staff.

Exactly. We should keep a thread for this board's mocks. Uncle Heatster has 24 - trade, 28 - Spencer.

However, if we manage to trade Samuel for a first rounder, I think we could be trading up to grab Revis.

Thanks man. With all the DB and LB predictions we'll probably draft a WR and a QB. :rocker:

The bell of the ball is Griffin who show's up a total of 14 times, much more than anyone else. Probably means they won't pick him, lol!

Cousin,
This is not meant to be sarcastic only funny. After Revis and Ross, who then at CB?......Please don't say 5' 8" Ellis Wilson! We do not need a nickel back as a #1 choice.
I think as many scribes have said McCauley has the best talent at CB in the draft but he was bad as was their defense in 06. He might be a steal late in one.

Why do you keep saying he's 5'8", when he's 5'9.2"?

Also, I'll take Revis, but I don't like Ross in the first round. I'd take Revis, Hall, Houston, and Josh Wilson over Ross in a heart beat.

Respect your input but what about McCauley? You never said. I see Wilson is a nice little player but we have Hobbs and everyone says Wilson is a nickel. Do you disagree? I have Chris Canty visions!

Why can't they draft a big CB, and Wilson? Especially, if they trade Samuel.

I liked McCauley after 2005, but he kind of dropped off during '06, and Pat Hill benched him. Because of the friendship BB and Pat have, I'm sure he already knows everything about Marcus. BB's probably only selecting Marcus if Pat Hill gives him a glowing review. So, if NE picked him I'd be psyched, since he is one of the most talented CB's in this class, and has a lot of potential. Obviously, this would also mean that Hill gave him a glowing review.

If not for that '06 performance I'd be all over him.

I hope they're right about 2 defensive picks, though I am not up at all on the specifics this year.

Can someone explain what we do with Adam Carricker?

A 295 LB. lineman will play where on this team?

Ty Warren is a free agent after '08, maybe people think NE will draft Carriker and develop him, incase Warren doesn't resign?

That works for me. I think the Wilson kid is fine, I just see havoc if Hobbs and Wilson are on the field the same time as some of these taller WR tandems. Better draft Shaq to bat down a few going down field.

I have a novel idea. I know the FO does a decent job but...........Maybe Pioli will have learned his lesson after the millionth time and sign a few early instead of just one or two. CAP money has not been the issue for years. Let's be honest. How many times has this backfired when they could have signed someone they really wanted to keep but let it go till the final hour and then.....opps, "lets see what we can get for him now. Get me the Skins or the Seahawks GM on the horn".
Vinaterri did not have to happen (they did try at the last minute to spnd more than they could have resigned him for), now Assante. Branch was a different case. His agent needed instant coin, he of the high maintenance new wifey, and Branch, being not a Mensa candidate, shot there way out and no matter how you slice it Mr. Branch, you had a valid contract and were obligated to play at that number.....then hold someone up. Mr. Branch, you sir were a snake. I can't blame Assante.
Now Warrens hike is coming due. Let's get this done now please. Why does the FO torture itself? Then they always come crawling to the agent as the player is packing his bags after the kiss of death statement six moths earlier...."We are working hard to get this done but we have agreed to reopen discussions after the season is over" and then as the player is having his goodbye party they say, "Oh look we found some more of Mr. Krafts money. Here!" Whats there record on this, 2 and 10 or so?
I rate the FO job as a very good 6 of 10. But that other 4 is killing us, the fan , with anguish.

Defensive end. As much as I like Mike Wright, Carriker will most likely be a better player. He can certainly knock Marquise Hill off the roster. Too many DEs to keep a fresh rotation is not a problem.
