Which Players Haven't Practiced Yet?

Which Players Haven't Practiced Yet?

That is, who is still available for the in-season PUP and NFI lists?

Re: Which Players Haven't Practiced Yet?

Faulk, brace, Deaderick, light, cannon... Maybe others

Re: Which Players Haven't Practiced Yet?

Pryor and Ellis too I think.

Re: Which Players Haven't Practiced Yet?

Pryor has practiced. Correct on Ellis, he has not.

Faulk? Cannon? Brace? Pryor? Deaderick?
Anyone else?

Someone mentioned that Pryor had practiced, but I am not 100% sure of that.

Pryor started practicing earlier in the week after starting on PUP. Someone on the dupe thread mentioned Ellis also...

Reiss reporting that Light is in uniform today.

So, we now have

Faulk
Cannon
Brace
Deaderick
Ellis

I think that it is useful to understand that the PUP and NFI lists are small and players who have practiced are uneligible. None can be ADDED to the potential PUP list.

Players who have practiced either will make the team, be cut or be out for the year on the IR. Some will signed to the Practice Squad, but any team can sign them from there.

A player can be added to the NFI list if he gets injured outside of team sponsored events. The difference, now, is that it would be the RESERVE/NFI list instead of the active, NFI list.

The Rules For The NFI List

If Cannon is on the NFI lsit to start the season, when can he play? Can he practice?

Re: The Rules For The NFI List

Players on NFI are also on PUP and cannot practice. What seperates them from other players on PUP or IR is that they are not entitled to salary or bonus due under their contract. The rules are the same heading into the season regardless of how you landed on PUP. You cannot be activated until after week 6 if you remain on PUP and if you are not activated by week 13 you go on IR (unless you are cut). The only thing that NFI status impacts is the teams contractual obligation to pay the player.

IIRC while teams aren't required to pay the players on NFI, the teams can, at their option decide to pay them like the Pats did after Bruschi's stroke.

Yeah, and that punter who chopped into his own leg with an axe while giving a motivational speech. Can't recall the team, but they paid him.

That punter....later joined this team and played for us for a while....:bricks:

Edit..that team was the Jags and it was the idiot hc (del rio) who brought a freaking axe to a locker room. Oh that punter was Chris Hanson.
