After McCain and Palin took a short lead in early September Philadelphia Daily News contributor Fatimah Ali predicted a ‘Full-Fledged Race War’ If Obama Loses

Fatimah Ali: We need Obama, not 4 more years of George Bush | Philadelphia Daily News | 09/02/2008

Today Civil Rights Icon Rep John Lewis of Georgia Compares McCain to Segregationist Gov. George Wallace.

Civil Rights Icon Compares McCain to Segregationist Gov. George Wallace - FOXNews.com Elections

McCain has given Obama a pass on the Rev Wright issue and they have
not pointed out that Obama's church were followers of the racist
    Black Liberation Theology.

How does linking Obama to a white terrorist make McCain a segregatonist?

Good news is that it didn't take the Obama campaign nearly as wrong to respond to Lewis as it took the McCain campaign to respond to the vicious attacks against Obama.

The Obama campaign was quite quick to release a statement that said, “Senator Obama does not believe that John McCain or his policy criticism is in any way comparable to George Wallace or his segregationist policies.”

Why doesn't Obama call a trouble maker.... a trouble maker.
He said Rev Wrights views do not reflect his views, but he never said
Rev Wright was a racist or a trouble maker.

I am sure he will give the civil rights Icon the same pass.

    You guys crack me up.

Ya ever actually see an Obama event? Every type of person is represented. Look at a McCain rally... it's every kind of white person. And the convention had every kind of white men in suit and tie and every kind of white woman wearing pearls.

    "Playing the race card?"

    Let's see.

Times I have seen Harry use bigoted terminology on here: 23,489
Times I have seen or heard Barrack Obama use it: 0

Harry calling Barrack Obama racist: Priceless.

It has been said that sign of intellectual intelligence is when a person can keep the "I" over the "E"...or simply, those who can always keep "Intellect" over "Emotion".

Those who allow emotion to run their lives and form their opinions are intellectually bankrupt and will always be incapable of forming an intelligent thought. Emotion has no place in intellectual thought...NONE at all.

Even the least intelligent among us can see this, but may refuse to allow themselves to benefit from the fruits of it's truth because they have become addicted to the intoxicating temptation of allowing emotion to drive their lives.

A man who allows emotion to drive their intellect is useless to any society.

I didn't call Barack Hussein Obama "Racist" but most of the people who support him are.

It would be pretty difficult for a man who is half caucasian and half African to be racist, wouldn't it?

Why don't we hear more about that "white side" why do we keep hearing "black black black" is he ashamed of his white side, are his groupies ashamed of his white side, does he have any White relatives still living, are they hurt that his groupies or the media never ever mention the "White Barack Hussein Obama"

Is this silence about the "Whitey Obama" a from of Racism?

Actually, Harry, he has not stressed race in his campaign. Unless responding to others injecting race as an issue, he has not talked about it at all.

McCain's and Palin's groupies, as we've been treated to recently, are quite angry -- angry enough in some cases to kill, to hear them tell it. But they aren't angry about "his white side," so it's difficult to respond to angry McCain/Palin groupies who think he's too white.

Regardless, as an Obama voter, I can tell you you're pretty much coming full circle to the actual effect of Obama's race: As Donna Brazil put it, a white woman carried him in her womb for 9 months, and a white woman raised him. I don't think supporters see him as Black or "bi-racial", but as "post-racial." That's what's exciting, not the idea of a Black guy or a White guy in the White House, the idea that hey, he's a human being and he's smart, and he is in tune with the people.... and these days, we don't have to litmus-test by skin color. I find that refreshing... and that's the mood I get when I talk to other Obama supporters.

I see the hate that still oozes whenever you talk about this stuff, and it's too bad... this whole sneering "Whitey" thing seems to be the result of some bad experience in the 60s. I dunno. I do know that here, among friends I talk to, and in the campaign events, the people obsesssed with race tend to be on the right wing.

    What does that tell you?
