Who is Josh Barrett?

Belichick is also on the record. Meriweather played in over 80% of the defensive reps, with Chung and Sanders both over 70%. Our #4 safety (Page or Brown) were in on 25% of the defensive reps.

I think that who plays a bit more makes little difference. We have three fine safeties. Our #4 (veteran backup) will be filled by a free agent. Certainly, Page and McGowan will get first look.

We usually have 1-2 positions for safeties who play ST's. These are really special teams positions. We are well-stocked with Brown, Barrett and Lockett.
Chung was also injured for a few weeks as was Sanders (out for a week or 2). Around Chargers time when everyone apart from Brandon and Sergio were healthy. Page was also out for long periods injured as well.

Meriweather was benched twice this year. Once after the Ravens game, and again late in the year. If it weren't for injuries the first time, he may not have got back in.

If someone offered a 2nd for Meriweather, I'd bite their hands off.

He could end up being the bate we use to switch places with Dallas,
Im thinking Brandon Merriweather and our first for felix jones or anthony spencer for their first.
It can happen Jones loves getting in the papers, and dont forget about teams like Cleveland and chicago that would love a playmaking safety.
