In the first quarter sack of Big Ben the Pats had Mike Wright and Jarvis Green on the line and AD coming up to the line at OLB along. Who else was in on that play? That just seemed like a strange front 7 to me, was this used before? Was it meant for a particular reason?
Nevermind, I found my own answer from Reiss Pieces....
Defensively, the Patriots are rotating their linemen liberally. On the second drive, Mike Wright was in at NT for Vince Wilfork, and Jarvis Green was at DE for Richard Seymour.
Possibly on topic -- Wright looked terrible on another play, where he missed a shot at Ben R, then just stood there looking dazed watching him instead of continuing the pursuit. That's when Ben got a big completion (I think it was the one to Davenport).
Well, I guess not TERRIBLE, given that he succeed at getting near Ben R in the first place.
