    Easy question, often complicated reasoning.

I wish you had included 2 more categories ... but it's not fixable now.

Obama because he may be better than Romney.
Romney because he may be better than Obama.

Right now I'm still leaning Obama ... because he may be better than Romney.
I will vote Obama above ... but I definitely DO NOT THINK HE IS AWESOME. :nono:

You're correct on the two more choices but when doing polls it's tough to think of all the options. Plus I often read but rarely post in this forum because people are nearly always so extreme. I happen to be fiscally conservative but socially liberal thus I don't love either candidate. I'm undecided but learning towards Obama merely because I think he may be the lesser of two evils and I've voted republican in every Presidential election since I've been eligible to vote. I've voted democrat for other elections many times.

There are more and more of us socially leaning left and fiscally leaning right
... will be interesting how it plays out in 2016.

Give us a look down here ... forum is changing a bit.
We will still have extreme opinions here but we are all making an effort to keep the tone more civil.
We need extreme opinions ... otherwise we would all be talking to ourselves about ourselves.

    Need another category: Other

Gary Johnson -- because his views are much closer to mine than either Obama's or Romney's, and because both Romney and Obama suck

I'm done with "lesser of two evils" votes.

Romney because he will strike down Obamacare because I do not want the government controlling health care. They can barely run the Post Office.

Romney because he will try to limit all this spending of money that we do not have.

Romney because a new approach needs to be taken with the economy to get the whole country moving forward again. Not just in the aquarium that is the Washington DC area. He has turned other failing enterprises around from mis management. This reclamation project is just on a larger scale.

Romney because 4 more years of Obama will destroy this country and it may never be the same after 2016.

Romney because he will mend relations with Israel and because Obamas foreign policy is a disaster. Look whats happened and Obama is responsible.

There is no more time for Obama and his dreams. Vote Romney.

    Gary Johnson Obama

A vote for Johnson is a vote for Obama just like a vote for Perot was for Clinton.

I agree with Chico. A good catch-all "Other" category is in order.

Given that this is my first Presidential election in a state that is already decided, I have no reason to do a "lesser of the two evils" vote. I might vote for Johnson or a protest vote along the lines of "none of the above".

I did not vote, but would have if it plainly said Obama or Romney..

Obama, imo, is a better candidate that Romney.

Romney is going to bring the baggage of the Christian Right with him, and that scares the crap out of me..

I'm voting for Gary Johnson. Aside from the fact that I tend to agree with him most on the issues, I'll never again vote for a party, or for the lesser of two evils. Voting 3rd party in 2008 was the best thing I ever did. I've never had a clearer political conscience. The only people that get my vote, are individuals who I personally support.

    No Jersey Selected

I'm with you and Chico on this one RW. Beyond the fact that Mr. Johnson's stance on the issues are damn near identical to mine across the board, like you and Chico, I no longer will choose between two horrible choices for the one that is less so.

I will always find it interesting with polls like this and many of the things you see thrown around the social interwebs where people leave it as a this or that choice.

For instance this little dandy floating around last couple of months:

    That isnt the only choice.

I would not call Obama awesome, though I do think what he did with healthcare reform and foreign policy has been very very good. I think he's been a competent president, who has effectively stood up against a group of Republican extremists hellbent on making him into a failure, even if the US suffered as a result. (My evidence is the fact that the House Republicans repeatedly voted as a block to stop Obama and repeatedly failed to work towards compromise or put compromises on the table. And many Republicans indicated early in Obama's term that their goal was to make him a one-term president.)

No, a vote for Gary Johnson is a vote for Gary Johnson.

Even a four year old can understand that.

You don't want this Corrupt Government with all of it's Drunks, Perverts, Philanderers and Crooks having anything at all to do with your Health Care, they will kill you, they can't control themselves, they certainly can't control your health.

    Anybody But Obama
