For me it has to be Maroney and the kickers with Beisel worked in but I don't think he'll be in there much.

When was the last time any of us actually watched what a kicker was doing in pre-season?

Re: Who are you most interested in watching Fri in Atlanta?

Maroney for sure!

I agree with your choices. I'm also interested in seeing LB play from:

Gardner, Banta-Cain and Mincey. The UDFA's are worth watching, as well, but I just don't see them doing anything.

Really for me it'll be all of the rookies. Maroney at HB, Willie Andrews at KR, O'Callaghan and the Irish G we drafted (the name eludes me at the moment). Thomas at TE interests me as well.

Reche Caldwell too of course, to see how he really looks after all these inspiring TC reports.

Ben Watson after his stellar start to camp.

I'm interested to see Kelvin Kight as well honestly, after hearing his name in such a positive way.

I will also be watching to see how Sullivan looks in action, to see if he's as bad as advertised.

Re: Who are you most interested in watching Fri in Atlanta?

James Sanders/Guss Scott/TeBucky/Woods/Roach

aswell as Maroney and definatley if we let starters play a few series..few passes..i wanna see Caldwell

Re: Who are you most interested in watching Fri in Atlanta?

Mankins
Watson
The Kickers
Chad Jackson (doubt he plays)

Re: Who are you most interested in watching Fri in Atlanta?

I am actually interested to see Matt Cassel play. After all, most preseason games are about the backups and their development.

Quite frankly, the less I see of the starters I think the better.

Remember, even a healthy and financially satisfied Deion Branch sat out all the preseason games last year.

Re: Who are you most interested in watching Fri in Atlanta?

For me its the secondary and linebacker play plus Maroney and definetly the receivers. And as for the kicker I was thinking I used to say well at least we will get 3 out of this drive so I will be evaluating the kickers as well.

Re: Who are you most interested in watching Fri in Atlanta?

After rethinking it, I'm too excited about seeing the Patriots playing football again to focus on any one thing. I'll be hyped just to see a game that's not from the Three Games to Glory DVDs.

FOOTBALL IS BACK !!! :D

Re: Who are you most interested in watching Fri in Atlanta?

I want to hear about linebacker, wide receiver and punt/kick returns. I just want Maroney to stay healthy.

Re: Who are you most interested in watching Fri in Atlanta?

Do you think BB will assign one kicker for each game or play it by situations in-game?

That is what I'd expect too. It'll be interesting to see who gets the 'start'.

Re: Who are you most interested in watching Fri in Atlanta?

i would say Gramatica. BB always goes towards veterans at first so the rookie fights harder

Re: Who are you most interested in watching Fri in Atlanta?

On an individual level I really want to see Dave Thomas and LeKevin Smith in action. I think these two have great potential.

I'm a bit bummed that Garrett Mills has been missing so many practices - I really want to see what he can do.

The Patriots.

(Seriously, it's been 7 months. Just seeing them live and in uniform is enough for me.)

(And new tape to breakdown is always great. :D)

True, but he's already done some well-reported 'confidence building excersizes' with the rook, so he may want to build him up even more by letting him start. It'd boost not only his confidence, but the confidence of the team in the new kicker.

Who knows. All this thought about two kickers. Thank AV for that.

I cannot wait to see Maroney. I loved watching him at Minnesota; I was ecstatic when the Pats drafted him.

I am also curious to see the young players on D.

A smothering D is my favourite part of football.
