Honestly. They're best player, who's more like a linebacker, is probably not going to play, and yet Tyrone Carter (who?) and ANthony Smith (who?) continue to talk trash.

Moss didn't have great games the past two weeks, we can all agree. But he was going against pro-bowl caliber corners. Chris McAllister is a perennial All-Pro, and Lito Sheppard/Sheldon Brown are pro bowlers too. Does anyone really think Ike Taylor has what it takes to effectively cover Moss? Come on.

The only thing fearsome about the Steelers D is the front seven's ability to stop the run (we won't be running anyway) and it's outside pass rush. You can Max protect all day if you wanted to with those bums out in the secondary.

Anthony Smith is young and dumb. Most don't know who he is, but he is actually pretty good.

Ike will struggle playing the jump ball against Randy. Moss will win that battle all day unless Ike gets help from his safeties. That said, Ike has teh size, speed, and physicality to match up with Moss pretty well. Ike is an extremely physically gifted guy with a brain thats doesn't always tell his body to correct action. Like I said, if he gets a little help with the jump balls down the field, he will give Moss problems. If he is left on an island, Moss will win the battle. I expect him to get help as the Steelers usually gameplan to take away a teams' biggest threats. LeBeau will most likely rotate his zones to Moss's side.

What else is a front 7 supposed to do?

I don't know why he's talking at all... the reporter asked him if he'd guarantee victory and he say's "why not?" Why not just keep your mouth shut young fella'... It's gonna take our best effort across the board to hold you guys to a reasonable amount of points... say 24.

P.S. Our secondary, when healthy, is very good. Right now we're down both our starting safeties, so we'll see what happens. Hopefully Polamalu plays.

Smith is debatably just as good as Clark. We lost some depth with his injury, but our starting 4 are about equal with Smith. I happen to think T Carter is more reliable in run support than Troy. Trow is much better in coverage though.

Not to mention Moss is numbers against Baltimore didn't accurately depict how he fared against McAllister. He beat McAllister multiple times, the Brady deep ball that got held up in the wind and the blatant PI/holding by McAllister in the endzone that would've resulted in an easy TD. This is not even mentioning that Ed Reed, one of the best safeties in football, was constantly helping.

IMO, McCallister is getting a bit old. He was a top 5 corner at one time, but I don't think he qualified anymore. Reed is still a top safety. Moss's easiest TD catch hit him between the numbers all holding aside.

Yeah...Moss beat McCallister BADLY in that TD...he had him going in the other direction.

McCallister is over 30. It's tough enough to play footballl over 30, but he plays corner making it double difficult. Then they ask him to be a #1 corner and cover the best the opposition has to offer.
