Enough of DB...looking like it might not be too hard...although the injury factor may play a part in all of this....ST, QBs, TE, RBs all set. 1) Pass to PUP...I think a no brainer. I think there will be 5 OL cut....one will stay and 3 definitely will go 2) Hand 3) Britt 4) Stevenson I am thinking they keep Yates...but it could be GeneMruc so 5) Mrucz.
The D is a bit tougher...Wright is in...and I think Hill is kept..as they will not give up yet on him. Sullivan makes it as well. Cut are 6) Thomas and 7)Smith...both PSqd eligible. 8) Klecko is IRed or cut...thinking the former. The LBs are all set..I think they pick up an ILB... 9) Mays vut..maybe PSqd.
10) GScott...IR again..the D = Klemm.
Thoughts??

He's in Miami?? Seriously, what will his official status be? If you leave him off the roster isn't that like cutting him and allowing him to look for another team? What's the deal with players who do not report? Do they still have to be in the 53 man roster? Or if he skips out on the first 9 games and comes back in the tenth, does that mean the Pats will have to release someone?

Your numbers are a bit off, Miguel. . . . and even correcting them, you seem to still need one more cut (unless you have a player duplicated or something).

He;s still on the did not report list...when he reports IF he reports..yes, that must be done to make room for him.

Yes one more needed...

IMO we have one of the worst WR groups in the league.

I have posted a lot of 53, and I'm always wrong. Anyhow, here goes.

MY FINAL 51

OFFENSE

Quarterback (2)
Tom Brady, Matt Cassel

Running back (3)
Corey Dillon, Laurence Maroney, Kevin Faulk

Full back (2)
Garrett Mills, Heath Evans

Wide receiver (4)
Troy Brown, Reche Caldwell, Bam Childress, Chad Jackson (Branch did not report)

Tight end (3)
Daniel Graham, Benjamin Watson, David Thomas

Offensive line (9)
Matt Light, Logan Mankins, Dan Koppen, Stephen Neal, Ryan O’Callaghan, Nick Kaczur, Russ Hochstein, Britt, Stevenson

DEFENSE

Defensive line (7)
Richard Seymour, Vince Wilfork, Ty Warren, Jarvis Green, Johnathan Sullivan, Mike Wright, M. Hill

Linebacker (9)
Rosevelt Colvin, Mike Vrabel, Junior Seau, Tully Banta-Cain, Pierre Woods, Tedy Bruschi, Eric Alexander, Larry Izzo, Don Davis

Cornerbacks (5)
Asante Samuel, Ellis Hobbs, Randall Gay, Chad Scott, Willie Andrews

Safeties (4)
Eugene Wilson, Rodney Harrison, Artrell Hawkins, James Sanders

SPECIAL TEAMS

Stephen Gotskowski, Josh Miller, Lonie Paxton

We sign a FA WR and maybe LB.

If I'm not mistaken, Jackson hasn't practiced yet and is eligible to start the season on the PUP list. That would open up a spot (albeit temporary) for Kelvin Kight at WR.

That's just another scenario.

Jackson didn't open camp on the PUP list, however, and therefore cannot be placed on it during the season.

when u think about it..were kinda thin at corner

Samuel-experienced now
Hobbs - 2nd year..has a lot of work to do
Gay - coming off injuries..dissapointing game..undrafted and its hard to judge by 1 season(same goes to Hobbs)
Scott-veteran..versatile and smart
Spann-NFL Europe..probably wont make it

we might pickup a corner you think? Drop Spann and pick up a good player and also i doubt we keep 5 DTs..either a DE goes and WRight plays both

Jackson practiced three times, IR or Roster or waiver (gasp, no, don't start that again! Oh the humanity!).

Thanks. Actually, I just found it on Patriots.com. Jackson was originally on the PUP at the start of camp, then taken off early on. He just hasn't practiced (much). Jackson is a big mystery right now.

It's not unfathomable to see Jackson have a similar rookie campaign as Terry Glenn, who also missed most of training camp (and week one).
