    Jets an embarrassment to NFL

As funny as I think the Jets suckitude is, it constantly blows my mind that Whitlock is a highly-paid professional writer. I mean ... yeesh.

"I can’t be the only person to notice the Jets went from Super Bowl contenders to Super Bowl pretenders once their head coach transformed publicly from Rex Ryan, son of legendary defensive guru Buddy Ryan, to Sex Ryan, the bastard child of legendary smut kingpin Larry Flynt."

    uh....LMAO into convulsions????

    Journalism at its finest.

A well thought out, and totally accurate piece.

Agreed....... Whitlock must have some sort of an exchange agreement with Andrew Dice Clay's writers. Beyond that, although many report how nice a person he is in real life, he's pretty much a moron on everything else and almost always predictable in his responses.

I don't normally read whitlock, but i thought this was pretty funny.....

Goodell should cancel tonight’s episode of “Playmakers of New York” just to save Jon Gruden from the three hours of mental gymnastics he’ll perform trying to pretend Ryan and the Jets aren’t an X-rated circus act.

Embarrassment? Au contraire, they are the chief source of entertainment value! :p

I think Whitlock has plagiarized ME, Joe "Jet Hater Of The Century" Kerr....almost everything in that column I wrote in the Jets $uck thread three years ago...[IMG]

Whitlock finally comes across his area of expertise: Embarrassment to one's profession.

I normally loathe Whitlock, but this is a classic gem. Loved these bits:

In fact, since December of 2010 -- when the foot fetish controversy began -- the Jets have played 28 NFL games, including the playoffs, that matter and they’ve lost half of them.

The Jets have a clown for a coach. It’s no coincidence they play like clowns on the field and act like clowns off it.

The Jets are an embarrassment to the NFL, just like Whitlock is an embarrassment to sports journalism. Without reading the article, did he call on the Jets to bring in Jeff George to fix everything?

Interesting thing to watch for tonight: See how Jon "I think everyone is the best player ever" Gruden spins things for the Jets.

Let me see what I can remember from my Psychoanalysis class 25 years ago (it laregely backs up Whitlock).

Freud said certain men who enjoy watching others with their wives have what he called a Tendency to Debase. Why? Because, having been raised by saintly women, they tended to identify heavily with their mothers, especially if their fathers were domineering (ol' Buddy). Thus, having married a woman who became in essence a mother substitute, they had a great deal of difficulty having normal sex, since the mother's saintliness and purity was transferred to the wife. in order to get their rocks off (my language, not Freud's) the man would need to take his wife off the pedestal, have her debased in his eyes, so as to get those love juices flowing again.

This seems like a textbook definition of the kinds of things you saw on Rex's BDSM alt.sex page, including things like defecation, etc.

When this was exposed to the outside world, it screwed Rex up mentally. He's been inflicting wounds on himself and his team ever since in reaction. Why? Because he's a sadomasochist who actually enjoys the pain!

The problem with this idea is that any court of law would ultimately rule that Jets suckage is such a basic concept, and so widely known, that it's a matter of public domain. It would be like us trying to claim intellectual property rights on air, or the sunrise.

Pretty irrational hit piece. The Jets have made the AFCCG twice over the past 4 years, and if they win tonight, they're tied for 1st in the division.

The case would be dismissed as soon as the words intellectual and Jets appeared in the same paperwork.

No, it's the most objectively honest thing he's ever written.

And you are suggesting what? That they are a good team and know how to win?

    So what?
