    Nope. I didn't imagine it:

    1. I'm picking the Giants to upset the Patriots.

Tom Brady's high ankle sprain is the last piece of motivation I need to go with New York. In some ways, this will be as big an upset as the Jets thumping of the Colts in Super Bowl III.

Remarkably, there's no contradiction. This piece says nothing about who he thinks WILL win, just who he thinks we should root for. Put the two pieces together he's staked out a position that's the precise reverse of the standard party line ("Down with Belichick's League of Evil! But gosh darn those Giants have no chance.")

He should be in politics, walking right down the middle of the road, and able to say, "I told you so" regardless of the outcome.

Yeah-- don't waste your mind trying to make sense of him. He's a disaster. I stopped reading anything he does about midseason or so.

Sportswriters, as a whole, don't deserve the title of "writers" in their name.

I like how he says that the tuck rule stole a SB appearance from the Raiders. I guess he's just assuming they would have won the AFCCG.
