In quite a few places this AM, but prefer to link it to Fair and Balanced Fox News.. as they spin this story so much it can only be referred to as a whirling dervish.. all this trouble and now he denies any happy endings.. this guy was one of the Aids folks previously and was a big preacher of abstinence.. I know he had a bad back, but if you have a bad back you can get a legitimate massage if you need it.. file under do as I say, not as I do..

WASHINGTON — Randall Tobias, head of the Bush administration's foreign aid programs, abruptly resigned Friday after his name surfaced in an investigation into a high-priced call-girl ring, said two people in a position to know the circumstances of his departure.

ABC reported on its Web site late Friday that Tobias confirmed that he had called the Pamela Martin and Associates escort service to have women come to his condo and give him massages. More recently, Tobias told the network, he has been using a service with Central American women.

Tobias, 65, who is married, told ABC there had been "no sex" during the women's visits to his condo.

Re: Condi Rice's deputy quit for sleeping with prostitutes

Nothing amuses me more than when some loony liberal tries to make a big deal about a scandal that hits someone none of us have ever heard of. Here we go again

Bill Clinton was getting "favors" from fat ugly interns, and you defended him. So you'll have to forgive me if I ignore your partisan sniping at some low ranking no-name.

    More names to come :singing:

The Democrats better not get to excited over this one yet, Matt Drudge is digging into it, who knows what he will find.

    God Bless Linda Tripp.

Linda Tripp is one of those people the libbies hate because she was 100% right. She advised Monica so save the dress because she would need the evidence when Billy-Boy denied the affair. Sure enough, Billy told us he "did not have sex with that woman."

Because of linda Tripp's advice, we know Monica was telling the truth and the smear-job attempted by the left blew up in their faces.

The problem is not the prostitutes.

    The problem is hypocrisy.

I really don't care if someone pays for sex. Personally, I think people should be able to sell their body if they want to. What I do disaprove of, is married men cheating on their wives. Now, some joker that works in the office doesn't bug me so much, since it's impossible to control what someone does in their own time, and they can easily be fired for their transgressions. The elected officials OTOH, are the ones that concern me more. They are hired directly by the people, and thus should be exemplary citizens.

    Man, you got that right.

At least this guy had the decency to resign. Brought a measure of accountability back to government.

I remember a certain president c. 1998 who resolutely *DENIED* "ever having sex with that woman", and saying, "I haven't even considered stepping down." He fought it even through a Congressional impeachment. Forced the FBI to do DNA testing on a woman's dress to confirm his semen. Polarized the entire nation. Could have avoided it all by simply admitting his horrendous mistake and stepping down for the sake of national unity. But no, he decided to fight it.

Re: Condi Rice's deputy quit for sleeping with prostitutes

Wait a second... you mean to say this guy left his jizzim all over a woman's dress..? What brainpower at work we have there... What else did he do..? He denied the relationship..? Heh, more brainpower at work. And to think the libbies call Bush a moron.

Stop with the right wing Fox News lies. I don't believe a word of your post above. No one could possibly[/]i be stupid enough to do what you have alleged.

Re: Condi Rice's deputy quit for sleeping with prostitutes

It fascinates me how on this board it's the righties who talk in graphic terms. It's the righties more than anyone else who in the past brought up NAMBLA, and now they're talking in graphic terms about Clinton's transgression, as if that makes it worse.

Clinton was guility of the minor crime of lying to billions of people about having sex with Lewinsky. Clinton's lie was understandable, just as Livingstone, who the Republicans wanted to be Speaker of the House, begged Larry Flynt to keep that scandal secret (which Flynt agreed to provided that Livingstone stepped down).

Presidents have a long history of trying to keep their personal lives private. Clinton tried too hard, underestimating how ruthless the right-wing would be in its effort to derail him. Of course, now, Clinton is regarded as one of the best modern presidents and during his impeachment his approval ratings were twice that of Bush's today.

The Clinton scandal is mostly a scandal to the right wing, which in their sexual repression loves to talk graphically about sex. I find it crude, but then again I find much of the right wing crude.

Re: Condi Rice's deputy quit for sleeping with prostitutes

Well as I am sure you know homosexual men are, for the most part, a bunch of pedophiles. NAMBLA is just the wing who is open about their disgusting desires.
Ah yes, more ultra partisanship... Um, lying under oath and obstruction of justice are not "minor crimes". They are felonies. And a pretty easy way for a regular citizen to go to jail.

Re: Condi Rice's deputy quit for sleeping with prostitutes

What are you talking about..? Patters himself has said that as long as you use the qualifier "for the most part" you are perfectly safe to make such statements. Patters can certainly back me up on this.

I think wistahpatsfan should be banned for his heinous, personal attack on me. I haven't personally insulted anyone in this thread, yet I am called a "POS" (before it was edited to "total freak").

Re: Condi Rice's deputy quit for sleeping with prostitutes

I should not have edited it.
Your "qualifier" is legalese and a tool that cowards use when they want to insult someone in the worst way without being held accountable for it.
Ban me if you want, Free Ted Williams or Patters. I don't need to post here as much as some Jedi Master LIKE QUI GON needs to. I get my anger out in healthy ways. I don't need to validate my perception of my own sexual preference by attacking others. I don't have to read posts from angry mental dwarfs. How are those "qualifyers"?

Your obsession with homosexuals tells more about you than you might be willing to admit, and you might want to re-evaluate yourself and consider your obsession with the subject. It's OK. The only one's you have to really worry about are people like yourself, and I think you know how harmless they can really be.

On second thought, maybe we shouldn't ban you. Maybe you might be useful as a source of entertainment and a baseline from which we can all measure our degree of emotional comfort with ourselves...

    Never mind FTW.

Re: Condi Rice's deputy quit for sleeping with prostitutes

I don't understand what all the hubbub was about. Where was your ranting and raving back when Patters announced the phrase "for the most part" was perfectly acceptable when insulting groups of people...?
What obsession...? I don't regularly mention the topic of homosexuality in here, but I also don't shy away from the subject.

Oh, is this how your demonstrate you "don't need to validate (your) perception of (your) own sexual preference by attacking others"..? Nope..!! No hypocrisy there..!!
I can say that I, for one, am enjoying your ranting and raving. But this does not subtract from your personal attack against me that I think should be dealt with. Apparently I said something that hit a little too close to the truth to set you off like this. Or, perhaps, a little too close to home...?
