In response to all the negative threads surrounding the Patriots these days, I'll counter with a positive one. Which Super Bowl is the most memorable and gratifying for you and why?

    #75 Jersey

To quote Brady's equipment manager at Michigan: "The NEXT one".

The first one, by miles. I don't think even the 19-0 season would have topped the first one for me.

I'm with you, it still gives me warm fuzzies to think about sitting in a room full of Giant, Dolphin, and St. Louis fans just watching it happen.

Not too mention that 39 was the one that caused Arlen Specter to sh!t his pants and ruin his evening.:D

Has to be 36. I remember wondering weeks after that what they could ever do that would even approach that again. But 38 was gratifying because of the no respect card we could still legitimately play - it proved a Cinderella team and QB could be both a fairytale and no fluke. 39 was gratifying because it cemented dynasty status for the team and HOF status for Brady.

I'm still looking forward to the next one. But mostly for the players and coaches. Too much of the enjoyment will come from (temporarily) shutting up the naysayers within more than anything, and that's unfortunate. We've become a very self absorbed and demanding fan base. I think as much as BB and Brady have their critics, a lot of the rest of the NFL has grown to dislike this team because of...US.

38 for me, because it meant we weren't a fluke.

Good point, BUT find me a fan base out there that wouldn't follow suit based on the way things have played out so far. I'll admit, BB doesn't do himself any favors in the eyes of the media, but certain parties have allowed their jealousy to pervade the idea that the world of professional sports IS the ultimate form of "reality-based" entertainment and forget about the important issues that should be addressed. *cough* *cough* Sen. Specter and the likes.

    Thanks for the positive thread!

Nothing will ever beat 36 for me. Truly one of the best moments of my life. I still can't believe it!

I've watched the DVD for all three multiple times since SB 42 to help recover and avoid the idiotic rants of sports TV.

Charger fan here. I was in Miami during Superbowl 36. The company I was working for at the time had our kickoff meeting with about 1,000 employees/clients in attendance. Our weeklong meeting just happened to kick off on Superbowl Sunday.

We rented the outdoor gazebo at the Hyatt downton, open bar, food etc. They had a 30 foot jumbotron for everyone to watch the Superbowl. My sales counterpart from Boston was a huge Pats fan, obviously. We watched the game together with about 30 of our clients. We were all pulling for the underdog Pats, even though most thought they had little chance to win.

Have to say, that's one of the best, most exciting games I've ever watched and I became a big fan of the Pats that day (secondary to my Chargers of course).

But then, you had to go and win 2 more Superbowls and knocked my Chargers out of the playoffs twice, so I am back to not liking the Pats anymore. :D

We need to win another one and it has to be by a large margin and not a last minute field goal.;)

First one was the best for me. It was just fun getting to say "The Patriots won the f-ing Super Bowl" over and over in complete disbelief to each other.

First one was best but for a personal reason. I was a senior in High School for the incredible 01 run, and got to enjoy the entire thing with good friends who were die-hard Pats fans, big into football and big into sports and Boston sports in general. It was a crazy time, and I have a lot of great memories of all the games. The ensuing championship seasons I was at college in Boston, which if you go to college in Boston, you know you're surrounded by Yankees fans from Connecticut and New Jersey and/or people who latch onto the Boston area team despite not having a real rooting interest before, at which point you learn that the rioting and celebration isn't the same when people are there merely for rioting and celebration, and not because they have poured their time and effort into rooting for a given team. Although the latter SBs themselves I watched w the fam, who are obviously big Pats fans, and that does make a difference. But the general vibe isn't the same during the season when I'm surrounded by the faux Pats fans who inhabit Boston.

SB 36 was the best feeling I ever had. However now every time I think of SB 36, I'll think Matt Walsh, Spygate and how the NY Giants upset us the way we upset the Rams.
