Which former Patriot player will have the best season in 2012?
    By: John Morgan

Mark Anderson? BenJarvus Green-Ellis? Which receiver will have the better year: Randy Moss, Chad Johnson, or maybe even Brandon Tate? Can Richard Seymour continue to perform at a high level, and can Asante Samuel and Matt Cassel improve on their 2011 seas...

Law Firm. The guy works hard, play hard, and hits the hole quickly.

    No Jersey Selected

I'm going to go with Ted Larsen, for obvious reasons.

Seymour is by far the best player on that list, so I'm going to go with him.

Green-Ellis for me. He's one great RB and I hope he thrives in Cincinnati!

Sey definitely, aside from Moss and Johnson who's best days are clearly behind them, he is the only stud talent on that list. Not to knock the others especially BJGE who I've always been a huge fan of, but I see him struggling mightily in Cincinnati's offense like most Patriots who were made better to look then they really are playing in our system and/or playing with TB12.

Asante has done pretty well too.

LOL at Ocho not even being mentioned among the "others". I promise he will have the best year of everybody.

Green-Ellis. He has claims on the #1 RB position in Cincinnati and they like to run the ball.

I'm rooting for former Patriot Matt Cassell to have a career year for Romeo Crennel with the Kansas City Chiefs. How sweet would it be to meet those guys in the AFC playoffs in Foxboro?

Not much love for Mark Anderson; Ted Larsen has more votes.

According to Bills fans he's going to have about 20 zillion sacks this year because opponents will be so focused on stopping Mario Williams.

Green-Ellis or Asante. For some reason I just see him Asante having a HUGE year with the Falcons. He hated playing for the Eagles and the NFC South is a passing division, which means more potential picks for #22.

Candidate for the list Dan Graham who signed with the Saints yesterday...could probably replace that Johnson guy. He's 34 but playing with the second best QB of his career so who knows... With Graham banged up a bit and Thomas injury prone, he could see some game time throughout the season.

Obviously, Bills fans never watched Texan game film. Most teams just blocked Williams with a TE, gave them more players to block everyone else.

    BJGE

Living in Manhattan, I got stuck with the Jests-Bungles game on TV. Aside from my glee in watching the overture to the Tebow-Sanchez sideshow, the most interesting aspect of the game for me was watching the Law Firm bust a couple of good runs.

The local commentators noted that Cincinnati plans to push BJGE and give him a lot of chances this season. They also begrudgingly noted that he had "done everything Bill Belichick had asked of him in New England," including never once fumbling.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have a little bit of a chip on his shoulder, going from a premier franchise to the NFL's version of Siberia.

He's been injured most of Training Camp. Maybe it's the stink of Oakland, but his production, while respectable isn't at his Pats' years levels. He's 33.

The question was who on that list will have "the best season" this year. There might be reason to think he can still produce and contribute well, but there are also a lot of reasons to think he won't have the "best" season among those players.
