I'm surprised to see that "Low-income programs" is about 75% as much as defense and that SS and Medicare is more than 50% more than defense. You'd never guess that from watching the media.

from an equally unbiased source as is the heritage foundation, unfortunately cannot copy, but may want to take a look at this as it tells quite a different story...

But you can believe that the Heritage Foundation is accurate? my point is that you can find extreme points on either side of the equation..takes some creativity to actually find the truth..I suspect neither site is accurate..

No, I have no idea. But it's immediately obvious they're unfair to the military as homeland security, veterans' benefits for retired military and, get this, they put 80% of the interest of the national debt as military because they claim 80% of the debt was solely caused by the military. Of the about $1.1T they lumped as military, the items I listed are close to $600B.

I get if you want to be a war resister, fine. But they're lumping a lot in as "military". Since when is NASA's $8B military ? Does anyone think NASA is military ? $2B for non military DoD ? Care to expand on that, War Resisters ? That site doesn't pass the 5 second sniff test.
