It's easy, and only takes a few moments. If he wins SB #4 it will be an argument between only him and Montana, and I would put Brady ahead.Right now i think hes moved past Bradshaw, Staubach, Starr and Favre and i put him at #4 behind only Montana, Unitas, and Elway.
if he wins his 4th Super Bowl I move him up to # 3.
5 more years and he'll be # 1

He's #1. There is no one better, there won't ever be anyone better.
Elway also had some pretty mediocre years before the two SB championships. Unitas, and Graham were essentially in another era. For example, Unitas' lifetime passer rating was 78.2%, and he had 290 lifetime TDs and 253 Int's. Really hard to compare players that many years apart. To me, it's Joe and Tom now, or Tom and Joe. Pick'em.Elway?
What did Elway ever do to put him ahead?
Also, why include Unitas? If you include Unitas, might as well put Otto Graham up there.

montana once had a great quote on elway's large number of 4th Q comebacks... he laughed at the stat and said something to the effect of "you have to be LOSING in the 4th Q to make a 4th Q comeback"To me it is a Brady/montana coin toss at this point. We all see on TV the 4th qtr heroic drive by Elway, but, look at the number of 4th qtr come from behind wins for Brady and he blows the competition away.
Not even debateable in my mind except for maybe Tony Eason!!!!!!!!!!
Forget about Elway. He jumped out to a 10-0 lead in a Super Bowl and then managed to play poorly enough to allow the Redskins to have 5 possessions in ONE quarter!
I don't understand the compulsion to rank athletes. All these QB's are great.
Elway?

unitas i didnt see, so for me TB is #1 all time. as good a brain as montana but better arm, better brain than elway. elway probably could throw it a bit farther and harder, but tom is certainly no slouch, and i think his game management skills tip the balance in his favor
