Lookee here, drink yo fill, buckle up. The times, they be a-changin.... :singing:

Times to launch syndicated radio show

Tom LoBianco (Contact)
Monday, March 23, 2009

The Washington Times will launch a syndicated radio show later this spring, dedicated to the newsroom's investigative reporting and accountability journalism, Executive Editor John Solomon said Sunday.

The three-hour morning show will feature investigations by The Times, exclusive interviews with national newsmakers and discussions with reporters from The Times newsroom.

The move is part of an overhaul of The Times' products started last year, including a redesign of the Web site and newspaper, as well as new online videos, podcasts and mobile updates.

"I think the goal here is to take what we've done so successfully in print and translate it to radio," Mr. Solomon said. "The concept is that when you tune in in the morning, it's not going to be yesterday's news."

Talk Radio Network, home to such nationally syndicated talkers as Laura Ingraham and Michael Savage, will carry the show.

"The Washington Times has made a very strong commitment to investigative reporting, building a journalistic team, headed by Solomon, that will be second to none," said Talk Radio Network Chief Executive Officer Mark Masters. "We believe this unique journalistic team, combined with radio's ability to give the time and context needed to flesh out breaking stories, will make for a powerful winning combination in talk radio. Like '60 Minutes' once did for TV, this show can do for radio."

Now the fun begins!!

Here is a sample I saw on the web of their proposed programming:

8-10 How to lie and then lie about your lie.. and then turn it around and blame the other person for your lies, and then change the subject to something ridiculous.
10-12 Understanding the Turner Diaries and how to make them viable in your life
12-2 Creative Fundraising, how to shake down down those lonely widows and unsuspecting maidens in former Iron Curtain Countries
2-4 Developing talking points, see Pelosi Mice, subtitled creating hysteria and hyperbole, no one will ever check whether it is truth or not, just keep throwing out the lies
4:00- 4:01 the truth minute
4:01- 6:00 Talking about the 3 day ceremony, why Rev. Moon has to watch you make love.. don't be ashamed everyone does it.. why you cannot decide who to marry.
6:00- 8:00 Sex Talk, why sex and gays are bad for this country and creating hysteria once again, the concave and convex theories explained, why pikarume if important in men's lives.
8:00-8:01 Opposing view minute
8:01- 10:00 Lets pray together
10:00- 12:00 Creative tax solutions of Rev. Moon..
12:00- 6:00 Sermons to sleep by

We will see what we will see.

I am taking bets it does better than the Daily KOS theme-station: "Air (anti-) America".

What say, bobble-heads? I say the WT radio show draws better than Air Am ever did. Friendly bet: $100.

Money-where-your-mouth-is??

I get it. You're sharing the same bong as the other usual suspects.

It'll be the death of you, boy.

I said "Racist" not insulting or childish.

To quote the movie Boyz 'n' the Hood:

Furious Styles: Something wrong? Yeah. It's just too bad you don't know what it is... *Brother*.

maybe if you hit some of this bong, you might chill out a bit. Just an FYI.

No offense intended. Got to have a little "gallows humor", you know!!

Anyway, it should be a good addition to radio. I look forward to it. If it stinks, I'll be the first to say so.

Here you go again betting money, but fail to pay $15.00 to become a VIP member.. you take up a lot of bandwith with your idle banter.

This will do well, because it has the unlimited coffers of Rev. Moon.. he put 3.7 billion into the Times and is prepared to do the same to get his message out..

Just think all the good 3.7 Billion could do.. lot of people would not go to bed hungry.. must could be eradicate some disease.. or fund some cancer research.. instead it is spent to indoctrinate folks to become moonies..

You owe me many times that for all the times I've caught you lying. You pay the $15 and I'll call it even. That's how magnanimous I am.

Yeah, sure. Solomon, Miniter, Pruden, Blankley, Cal Thomas, LANNIE DAVIS & DONNA BRAZILLE, they all "get out Rev. Moon's message".

Well, you're right in a way: if the message is a balanced look at world events, then the WT is actually #1. No question about that. So, collectively they all do get out "Rev. Moon's message".

NPR is paid for by tax-payers' money. You give me a couple of billion a year for a radio station and I'll make it work. At a profit, too.

Follow your own advice, Bob Dylan fan. :D

"You just wanna be on the side that's winnin'...." :singing:

Pay Ian the $15 and be done with it. Stop whining.
