For everyone calling the patriots cheap and how could they not sign all of the overpaid players in a weak Free Agency year! Here is the thread to admit you were wrong and if you are not man enough, then let me be the first to say Kiss BB's @ss! For everyone else well, we knew better!:D

They have disappeared..it's red sox season..they are no heading there..gloom and doom red sox..THOSE are the professional gloom and doomers..and with good reason..

I was one who right from the start of FA cited the re-signing of Syemour and Branch as our top two priorities in the offseason, and caution folks not to over-react to the flurry of big name signings - the sort of which we saw the Bills engage in for years that firmly established their ranking in the middle to bottom of the AFC East.

That being said, as a contrarian by heart, I don't know why the Doomers are hiding - there are still plenty of legitimate concerns to keep them busy.

Who is our #2 WR? and are 3-5 even worth the paper they signed? Who is our kicker? our punt returner? do we have enough depth at LB? Do we have starting caliber CBs?

They shouldn't over-react but there remain plenty of legitmate offseason questions that have not been fully answered.

The real issue however is whether you believe that the season is decided in March and April, or whether you have faith in the leadership that's given us 3 SB rings and understand that June - February count for a little something as well.

Ha! You know Borges and Felger will put a negative spin on this.

Just wait and see.

:ditto: The prophets of doom need to take a look at the other playoff caliber teams and explain how we're any worse off relative to them. Vegas has us sitting at pretty good odds right now and we still have a ways to go.

I think everyone on this board has concerns going into next season, and will probably still have some even after the draft. But as we've seen, it hardly takes a "perfect team" to win a championship. The way I look at it, we're still miles better than the 2001 team, and even the 2003 team. The only thing that kept us from homefield and a bye last season was a ridiculous rash of injuries...and even with that, some would argue (simms) that we were still the best team in the league by the end of the season.

I just don't see how anyone could objectively be "down" on this team unless they're just trying to stir sht up on the local airwaves, or they're national types who are "sick" of the Pats. Trust me, football teams do not want to play us next year...particularly those that had their way with us (indy, denver)

But if the media wants to underrate us, I say bring it on!...I can't wait to be the underdog again.:eat3:

I wish nobody would pay attention about these idiots. They only take the hatred towards them and spark more hatred because it draws attention.

THE PATS ARE SO DOOOOOO-ing exactly what we all knew (or should have known) they would do. Hands down the BEST organization in professional sports.

Nice work boys.

We're doomed.

No free agents will sign with us now because they will think we gave all our money to Seymour and there is nothing left.

Our DLine will be in shanbles after 2010.

By 2010, all our LBs will be 40 years old, if we don't sign some new ones.

Givens caught a TD pass per playoff game. With him gone, we are already down one TD per game.

And with Vinatieri gone, we lose a hundred points a year that he used to kick.

We're doomed.

WMG knows our defensive plays. If we meet Cleveland in AFCCG, they will beat us.

Tom Ashworth knows our offensive plays. THere is no point in even going to the SB if they go back also. He will give away our audibles and we will lose.

We're doomed.

"I told you so" threads are awesome. :rocker: Okay maybe not so much.
